I LOVE speedruns - It awsome when you sit down and watch a classic game you played be played through at super fast speeds - Some times I watch for hours.

I think speed runs distract from the purpose of the game-to have fun.
Anyways, they are fun to watch.

I think (for the most part) speed runs are done by people who have already completed the game, and just want to challenge themselves to beat the top speed in game completion even though there is nothing to be gained from that.. only time lost... forever!
