What Wii games are you waiting for?

Me...I want SSMB and Battalion Wars 2.
Not much more seems all that fun...I'll probably end up getting a few...but you know...thats how it always goes.

The suspense is killing me for all the great stuff coming out on Wii. Must have been killing all the people who couldn't think of anything good coming out for the Wii in the three days that this thread has been up -_-

Anyway, Brawl looks pretty cool, and Ping-pong (from 360) could be fun, but they'll have to make it different from Wii Tennis somehow. : \

Other than that I'm not a huge fan of plumbers or cellshaded elves in green hats.

Have you not played the table tennis that makes up part of Wii Play? Significantly different to Wii Sports Tennis, not great, but different.

Personally I'm looking forward to Brawl, Bomberman Land Wii, Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn, Ghost Squad, Mario Kart Wii, No More Heroes, Super Paper Mario and Wii Music. I hate getting screwed on release dates.

Haha, so the "Ping-Pong" idea has already been tried then? Bummer... and this system isn't even a year old and it's running out of ideas.

Brawl does look fantastic though. I never really got into SSBM, but that is probably only because I never owned the cube. Would I drop $250 for Brawl and Wii Sports? No way.

brawl looks awesome, so does mario kart, but comon, ping pong? how much variety do you think is in the game, you could have just as much fun (if not more) picking up a ping pong ball, and paddle (or you can use the wii-mote if you must), and grab a table shove it against the wall, and play against the wall (that bastard wall always wins though)

the obvious SSB:B. To add to the list Super Mario Galaxy, Resident Evil Chronicles, and that still TBA game that has all those natural disasters happening... forgot the name of it.

Im really hoping to see more 17+ games on wii cause im actually starting to get bored with the wii. =\

Online play, perhaps? You make a good point that you could have just as much, if not more fun picking up a real paddle and ball, but how many of us actually have a table in our basement (that's rhetorical, some of us might, but the majority doesn’t).

And a game doesn't necessarily need “variety “to be fun. Anything on Wii sports is pretty straight forward, same old same old every time you play, but I still think it's the most fun game for the system.

You could replicate a lot of games in real life. Anyone want to join me in a real-life version of GRAW2? ;)

Fire Emblem: Goddess of Dawn

I'm really worried they're going to try to work in the controller gimmick and kill such a perfect game, however, this is definitely the one title I'm chomping at the bits for on the Wii. All I need now is Ogre Battle Wii and I'll die a happy man.

Halo 3.- $70
GTA 4.- $60
CoD4. - $60
Assassins Creed. - $60
= $250

Why would I waste $250 on a Wii when I could get these 4 uberistic games?

I bought my Wii last week and am lovin' it! Maybe I'm still in the honeymoon phase or something, but I think it's great! I'm also kinda bitter against the 360 at the moment because mine just greeted me with my first taste of the rings of death about 5 days ago.
The only game, other than Wii sports, I've played is RE4. I just picked up Smooth Moves and can't wait to play Zelda. I'll also include Super Paper Mario in my "catch-up" playing. I guess I most look forard to Mario Cart DS and Metriod.

There are loads of games I want for my Wii at the moment:

Blazing Angels: Squadrons Of WWII
Mario Strikers: Charged Football
Scarface: The World Is Yours
Mortal Kombat: Armageddon
Medal of Honor: Vanguard
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition
Driver: Parallel Lines
Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
Red Steel 2.....

And there's just some of them! The Wii is just getting better and better!! There will be loads of decent games by the end of this year! :)

I don't know I bowl all the time but wii bowling was somehow different more fun. Sure you could do things in real life as you do on the wii but it is different and more fun maybe its the idea of "hey I'm playing ping pong with my tv and I'm actually making ping pong movements I've never done that before" or "I played ping pong in real I sucked but this makes me feel better".

so whatever it is that makes the Wii fun I look forward to going to my cousins house and playing ping pong and feeling like Forrest Gump in a good way, unless my cousin doesn't let me win then I'll feel like Forrest Gump in a bad way.

Besides SSBB, I am totally anticipating Metroid Prime 3. I can't wait. I am just about done playing through 2 that I am borrowing from my friend and hopefully will have it beat by the time MP3 comes out (stupid Ing King Thing, he's impossible!)

Super Mario Galaxy looks pretty good too.

I am really looking forward to Super Mario Galaxy more than any other game.

I'm also looking forward to Brawl and No More Heroes, but I am usually more invested in great single-player experiences than multiplayer ones. And my enthusiasm for No More Heroes died a little when I found out that you would be attacking with the A button, not with actual sword slashes.

anyone with a wii is invested in singleplayer games more than multiplayer. ;)

No... The Wii is about in house multiplayer more than anything... It's pretty obvious, even if it wasn't, just look at Nintendo's marketing...

ah sorry, i was assuming he meant online multiplayer. my mistake.

at least nobody can argue that the wii is the best thing to accompany alcohol since... anything.
