Check the switch on the video cable isnt switched to HD if he is using an SD TV.

Also, make sure other appliances work on that TV's connection to make sure it isnt the TV.

Is it an SD TV? Like I said, check the switch on the cable.

Let me know how it goes :)

First, check all your connections (A/V, power). Move it to another TV to see if it's the same problem. If so, try different A/V cables. If it still doesn't work, call MS as it may be a GPU problem and needs replacing. Good luck. :)

My friend who shall remain nameless had this problem, no picture, power was going to it, tried it on multiple tvs, everything was as it should be so he packed it all up and took it back to a highstreet store which shall also remain nameless (rhymes with same!!).

They took it out the box set it up and the same thing happened 3 store clerks were stood round it scratching their collective heads.
Now this bit cracked me up when he told me, along pops a 12 year old kid who was looking at the games next to the clerks, he gets in between them looks at the back of the xbox flicks the switch and hey presto we have a picture, my mate tells me he has never seen 3 grown adults who are supposed to be well versed in their field go a funny shade of greeny red. I so wish i was there to see it.

Have you tried the switch??

I know. I actually had this problem too. It's a problem just like the 3RoD. It's where the video card somehow becomes detached from its place. If the sound is working, 100 bucks says that is the problem. Check xbox.com for info. If you don't find it, I'll post a link first.

http://forums.xbox.com/16189529/ShowPost.aspx There are way more threads out and about. This is just an example. May need to send it in. =-(
