Following on from UnrealJHXS what mp3 player do you use thread, I got wondering. What kind of phones do the people on the forums use? Does everyone have just plain nokia's or is everyone rich and have iphones?

Also as a bonus, what are your 3 favourite mobile games? I've never got into them but someone must be buying them, iphone games from the store don't count.

I have a Blackberry. It has the best reception and battery life of any phone I've owned, so I'm sold on it. As for all the bells and whistles, I can go without.

Motorola V3 Razr was my old phone but I accidentally left it in my trouser pocket and so it ended up in the washing machine. Needless to say the phone was completely wrecked but somehow the SIM card still worked perfectly.

My current phone is a Samsung E250. Yeah, I know it's an old phone but I'll be getting an iPhone next week when I get paid .

Yeah that's got a nice ring to it. Isn't that in a Dr. Seuss book or something? I recall something like...

iphone 3g. Previous I had a Razr that I bought off ebay to replace my Ericsson (actually my wife was bidding on one to replace her broken one, and ended up winning two auctions.) My wife got an iphone, we're on a family plan, since she had to recommit to 2 years I figured I might as well. Plus it's really cool. I resisted her getting one, then after she did and I played with it for about two days, I realized I wanted one too.
It's not the best "phone", but ironically, I use it as a phone least of all.

My main complaint about it is like most portable Apple products, the proprietary non-user-replaceable battery. But the battery on my ipod "classic" is still fine, and I honestly don't recall ever buying replacement batteries for older phones--it seems like by the time the battery doesn't hold a charge anymore, I'm ready for a new phone.

Iphone. I thought I could go without it, but it's amazing. Maybe not for the phone, but the fact that my wife can ask me about getting a grocery list or a tape measure, and I can turn the damn thing into more or less anything with a quick trip to the application store...well worth the purchase and can't wait to see what they come up with next.

I have a T-Mobile G1. I've only had it for about 2 months, but I absolutely love the thing.

I went for 3 years on a crappy $1 phone that I got when I joined Verizon. I had a Dell Axim Pocket PC at my side in those days, so I didn't need my phone to be a 'device'. It just needed to take calls. That phone was the Samsung SCH-A630. No camera, no data connectivity abilities, no picture messaging, nothing. It was built like a brick though, and made a mean phone call.

When my contract ended with verizon I was ready to upgrade. The poor PDA was almost 6 years old and certainly showed that age. I went with the G1 and was immediately happy with my decision. This phone has been a stellar addition to my daily loadout. I was shocked at how disconnected I was from current trends in wireless tech. Being connected 24/7 with email and twitter has been invaluable.

My old PDA actual met it's demise last week in LA for E3. It's usage had declined significantly since the arrival of the G1. One night after a party I pulled out that old familiar PDA and turned it on to find it's graphics proc fried.

Rest in peace old friend.

Good ol' iPhone 2G. Scratched as hell and got a shitload of dead pixels due to recurring contact of the iPhone with the ground, but I don't want to get rid of it until either Apple releases a new model that's worth buying, or a decent Android-based phone comes out.

I don't have a Cell Phone, I just don't need one. Before people start saying that I am crazy, I have owned 2 Cell Phones, one went through the washing machine and the other one is in some landfill because I didn't use it enough(thank god for pay as you go plans). I want an iPhone but I probably wouldn't use it enough to warrant a purchase(I would be better off with an iPod Touch).

Had a 3G but sold it on ebay. T-Mobile's 3G isn't compatible so the only benefit was GPS. Got me $350 for it on ebay. Was a hand-me-down from when my dad upgraded to his 3GS.

It's not all that expensive, it was only $30 before rebate and free after rebate.
The phone is pretty good, it locks and pants dialing hasn't been a problem. The keys are a bit small but I got used to that quite quickly.
Overall, if you are looking for a cheap texting phone, you can do worse than the Magnet.
Plus it's samsung, and if there is one thing I learned it's that samsungs are reliable.
