I'm trying to go back and play some games I missed. I'm now trying to play Silent Hill 3. I really don't get why this was considered a good game. A few things that are beyond stupid:

-It takes place in a mall.
-You have a gun but you can't shoot any glass or locks on doors.
-The horrible soundtrack. It's not creepy, it's lesbian.
-You can clearly see things, yet the game will say it's too dark to see.

That enough makes the game horrible.

Anyway, I've never played the game but from what you're saying it sounds awful. Its those kinds of things that really detract from gameplay.

Anything lesbian can't be all bad :P

I don't have a problem with lesbian music. I have a problem with a horror game that is supposed to be scary having soft guitar playing in the background.

Oh look you need to kill two headed zombie dog, let me put some folky guitar music on...

Gone through SH1 a short while back, I started SH2 but got distracted with SH4. Ill have to dig up the old HD to go back and play SH2, and 3 since Ive never played those 2 all the way yet.

As a fan of the series just a quick reminder: SH1 and SH3 are supposed to be played together. SH2 and SH4 are stand alone from a story point of view.

SH 1/3/4 are more action orientated and SH2 tends a great deal into the suspence direction.

SH2 has one of the deepest and thought through storys I have played yet in a videogame.



PS: don't worry. SH3 will in fact visit many more locations other than the mall. Including one very nice scene in the Silent Hill Hospital.

Until the annouuncement of Origins I was playing with the thought to sell my PSP. But I guess I wouldn't buy a new one just for one game (or two with GoW).

i got through 1 and 2 more or less when they came out but 3 i didnt get till about a year and a half ago just as a kind loyalty to the series, didnt want to missout on an installment of the game really. To be honest the first bit was really longwinded i felt.. i didnt gel with it that well and as a result didnt even finnsh it, barely scratched the surface, i feel like doing it now actually but in all honesty it would seem more of a chore than anything. If iam wrong and its really worth it let me kno because i will deff get through it if its worth it.

SH3 was good.... it was just that the character you play was annoying as hell.

The PSP one is excellent so far, pure fanservice though so if you didnt like the series before, you will hate this. O mist add - ONLY PLAY WITH HEADPHONES! The sound is fantastic and if you only use the psp speakers youre missing out on half the game.
