Vexrog 06-25-2009, 12:17 AM I'm confused, why do we have the comments and a news bot post? The news bot post seems a little redundant...
CURSE YOU FRAWLZ YOU STOLE MAH FIRST POST OMGWTFBBQ!
Shane86 06-25-2009, 12:22 AM Why does the logo look constipated?:lol:
Good show guys, I like how you mentioned what's happening on the site as well as gaming news
GammaFist 06-25-2009, 12:24 AM finaly its back can"t wait!

Good show guys, I like how you mentioned what's happening on the site as well as gaming news
We're privileged to provide it to you guys weekly! Those will be the core things that the Hump(s) Day update will provide, Community/Website updates, gaming news, and Panda Watch quirkiness.
After listening back to that though, you can bet the first thing I'm going to be doing tomorrow is buying a new microphone! Sorry about that.
Frawlz 06-25-2009, 12:38 AM The intro was sick! Best intro I have ever heard on a podcast.
Exane22 06-25-2009, 12:46 AM Im sold! Good quality, good chemistry, good conversations! The Spanish dude/skit was damn funny to :p
Raven 06-25-2009, 01:01 AM Great show guys. Glad to be hearing you every week.
New segment: mini reviewsical. any random game you've ever played (current gen OR last gen).
smelly pirate 06-25-2009, 01:32 AM Mantooth: Save your money and rename yourself Tinny McGee and you'll be fine.
GammaFist 06-25-2009, 07:44 AM New segment idea: would you rather

great show guys! glad to se the humpday update again and with a new cast
karbaasi92 06-25-2009, 07:52 AM Liked the episode. I thought it was even better than the previous HDUD.
There were three things that stood up: the hilarious intro, Don Marco and DoubleD's mesmerizing voice.. :w00t:
Great job. Can't wait till next week!
New segment: Play Tic-Tac-Toe.
Hungry Luma 06-25-2009, 07:59 AM I would have rather kept Panda Watch and had Doc and Dave do the Humpday Update.
DogsDieInHotCars 06-25-2009, 09:19 AM Glad to be on board everyone =) Keep the feedback comin! We want some more suggestions for our new segment as well. We may choose a new segment each week from you guys too. Keep it FRESH!
And Hungry Luma....We WILL win your love! Maybe even buy it eh? ::slides a George Washington across the table::
xGBUKx Simple 06-25-2009, 09:33 AM Fun show guys. I enjoyed the Panda Watch podcast a whole lot. Hope you keep it up and will bring the Humpday Update back to its former glory.
Segment idea - Don Marco Karaoke. I would love to see it, but I doubt you will. But I digress.
Hungry Luma 06-25-2009, 10:49 AM Glad to be on board everyone =) Keep the feedback comin! We want some more suggestions for our new segment as well. We may choose a new segment each week from you guys too. Keep it FRESH!

jazzersi 06-25-2009, 11:36 AM Woopdywoop, SG has privatised Humpday Update.
yeahhs
Ognawk 06-25-2009, 12:02 PM Woopdywoop, SG has privatised Humpday Update.
yeahhs
OR... did they nationalise the Panda Watch? :wink2:
Great show, guys! That darned intro's been in my head all day!
nonmelodic 06-25-2009, 12:17 PM New Segment: Asshole of the week.
New Segment: Video game myths and sayings; exactly what it says, e.g: The fact that people still belive that mew is behind that damn truck!
New Segment: You actually talk about games! (Unlike the rest of Sg....)
nick10234 06-25-2009, 12:26 PM New Segment: get community members to come on and talk about or review a game.
Vexrog 06-25-2009, 12:53 PM I guess this i where we are suposed to post ideas...
Segment idea: silly SG poems. Every week you choose a poetic form and people submit poems through out the week. The best poem is read on air and the person gets… NOTHING! unless of course your feeling generous.
TamarindLAZ 06-26-2009, 12:09 AM Great show guys! I wasn't even aware that THE HUMPDAY UPDATE was back. I just found out today since the computer where I had my itunes installed was getting real buggy so I had to move all my content to another PC and re subscribe to all the podcasts and that's when I noticed the new "awesome" logo and automatically I hit submit. I thought I was going to hear Doc and Dave but that wasn't the case. Nonetheless, you guys did a great job for a first episode and I like the new "freshness" of the HDU. Kept me entertained throughout the 15 minutes.
Also, thanks for not mocking me and the shoutout SaintMantooth! Glad to have at least made you wonder about PSone titles on the PSP enough to google it. Makes things easier and way cooler huh? Feels great to have a shoutout on the first episode of the New HDU!

I can't even begin to describe how much better it is having it right on my psp instead of playing remotely! I've barely been able to put the thing down!
darkmonk 06-26-2009, 02:16 AM Friggin amazing. Love the new HDUD. Gotta admit, I was worried for a lil while that Panda Watch had gone MIA, but i'm glad something better came to take it's place. Also great that Don Marco was able to make the transition too. Any chance of some musicals like on Panda Watch? The Panda Watch musical was absolutely the best. (Not meant as a slight to any of ya) Good luck w/ the new show, and I can't wait for #2.
Idea for new segment: __________ is as/more stupid as Jack Thompson! (to be followed with a nice lengthy account of what someone/something did, said, or exists, that is more ignorant toward video games than Jack Thompson. A weighty title indeed.
Aderyn426 06-26-2009, 03:11 AM Great show. Panda Watch was one of my favorite Community Casts, glad you guys are not gone. Great restart to the Hump Date Update, keep up the great work. Look forward to hearing from you guys again next week.
fatal GRACE 06-26-2009, 11:13 AM Awesome podcast, I love the Don Marco segment. Now I can tell all my friends that I sit next to an internet celebrity 8 hours a day. I can also undermine your fame by telling everyone on the forums how bad Saint Mantooth's BO is.
Raven 06-26-2009, 11:20 AM Maybe even buy it eh? ::slides a George Washington across the table::
Wait.... your giving bribes. What the hell. If I knew I could have gotten money out of it I would have waited to comment the first time.
New Segment: You actually talk about games! (Unlike the rest of Sg....)
You've got to be kidding me. SGR discusses at least one new game every week, SG Blu has a weekly comparison of new games to Gears of War, and the Pink show always has games to talk about.
smelly pirate 06-26-2009, 01:21 PM Thanks for all the positive feedback, everyone! We are enjoying the challenge of essentially making Panda Watch Concentrate, while focusing more heavily on up-to-the-minute gaming news. We certainly would never rule out the possibility of more musicals, theme episodes, or any other retarded ideas anyone comes up with that will keep us on our toes.
Keep the segment ideas coming; we will need to make our decision soon!
darkwonders 06-26-2009, 01:42 PM I guess this i where we are suposed to post ideas...
Segment idea: silly SG poems. Every week you choose a poetic form and people submit poems through out the week. The best poem is read on air and the person gets… NOTHING! unless of course your feeling generous.
damnit. I was going to suggest that... Well I was going to suggest Haiku poems reviewing a game be read every week. Those are the only poems worth reading because they are so random... So my suggestion is still valid because it's different than yours :p
So again My suggestion- A haiku poem review every week... with some tranquil music in the background.
Plus I think the haiku is probably the best way to keep with the absurdness of the former panda watch show. It'll be great to hear in a serious tone a ridiculous review with some odd music playing in the background. I can imagine it already
Heck... even having Don Marco read the Haiku would be hilarious
Nice re-boot of the feed. Good job gents. Now to the real reason I am posting, the segment suggestion.
New Segment: Retro gaming segment. Currently there is no one willing to feed my need for new ideas on what I should be playing from days past, after all old games are the best games! Just a brief synopsis of a great old game (could be any platform, as most retro gamers already have emulators, and if you don't they are easy to get), and maybe a thing or two you liked about it. Heck, with all the re-releases of the old gems on Wii ware, or XBLA you could probably even talk about those on weeks that new top quality ones are coming out.
Please help my Humpday-ers, your my only hope!
Lokela 06-26-2009, 04:46 PM I've finally been able to listen to this. Good jorb Double D & The Gang!
karizmatkstalyn 06-26-2009, 05:47 PM Finally an SG podcast I can download on my blackberry! Listening as I type.
darkmonk 06-26-2009, 06:23 PM Wait.... your giving bribes. What the hell. If I knew I could have gotten money out of it I would have waited to comment the first time.
I second this.
PureDarkness 06-26-2009, 07:26 PM Glad to be on board everyone =) Keep the feedback comin! We want some more suggestions for our new segment as well. We may choose a new segment each week from you guys too. Keep it FRESH!
And Hungry Luma....We WILL win your love! Maybe even buy it eh? ::slides a George Washington across the table::
its called a weekly segment for one reason... it happens EVERY WEEK, if you take a newe one everyweek then ur gonna run out of time quickly! :P
DogsDieInHotCars 06-26-2009, 08:50 PM its called a weekly segment for one reason... it happens EVERY WEEK, if you take a newe one everyweek then ur gonna run out of time quickly! :P
touche! we'll see what happens =)
smelly pirate 06-27-2009, 12:28 AM its called a weekly segment for one reason... it happens EVERY WEEK, if you take a newe one everyweek then ur gonna run out of time quickly! :P
Either we would run out of time quickly, or become pioneers in micro-podcasting, with hundreds of 3-5 second bits, skits, and convos. We could become like the Wario Wares of internet radio.
Wait...did I just win the contest?!
Awoll SGF 06-27-2009, 01:02 AM ::slides a George Washington across the table::
A QUARTER!?
What a dick...
Awoll SGF 06-27-2009, 01:05 AM SGR discusses at least one new game every week
The dry spell in video games is going to put that statement to the test. :cool2:
Cam-Dog 06-27-2009, 02:01 AM New Segment: Its not very original but how about you guys just talk about a thread for a few minutes. It would bring some more activity to the forums and we all know we need some.
Aderyn426 06-27-2009, 02:17 AM I was thinking of something along those lines too, Cam-Dog, like the most popular thread of the week type thing. Another podcast I listen to does that every week. The Pink Show occasionally discusses articles on the site, but I don't recall hearing much about the forums (they are mentioned more in passing than anything else)
karizmatkstalyn 06-27-2009, 11:45 AM I've got one request: make the HDUD song a ringtone. A free ringtone. I have been singing that since the second I heard it.
Edit: I already made it. http://tinyurl.com/n9kogq
darkwonders 06-27-2009, 01:14 PM New Segment: Its not very original but how about you guys just talk about a thread for a few minutes. It would bring some more activity to the forums and we all know we need some.
They're doing that already :p
Talkingship 07-02-2009, 11:41 AM Great show, guys! I'm very impressed and stoked to have another quality SG show on the air!
