I'm in to anime, but English, so I won't be going to Anime Boston. You'd have thought, being thirty-two, I would have grown out of it by now. But just as I'm about to stop watching, something will come along that just blows me away. The last time it happened was with 'Gankutsuou'. A brilliant series based on The Count of Monte Cristo.

I used to be a fan of Death Note, but once the seried ended I couldn't find anything that was as good as that.
I followed Lucky star for a while but eventually stopped.

Ever herd of Casshern? Brilliant movie and I recommend it to anyone, its a live action movie based on an old anime.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=emYqURahUKI

Heres the opening sequence to the anime
http://youtube.com/watch?v=aG2W05xJ76o

The live action movie has an easter egg that shows a professor (or Doctor can't remember) has the anime's version of the helmet in his helmet collection.

The movie is out and should be available at any video store, Ive already seen it for sale in wal-mart.

As far as anime goes, watching Naruto Shippuuden, Bleach, Hero Tales, Night Wizard.
Anime's Ive seen include: ★=worst ★★★★★=best
Dragon Ball ★★★★★, Dragon Ball Z ★★★★★, Dragon Ball GT ★★★★★, Samurai Pizza Cats ★★★★★, Neon Genesis Evangelion ★★★★★, Hellsing ★★★★★, Witch Blade ★★★★★
Tenjou Tenge ★★★★, Elfen Lied ★★★★, Mai-Hime ★★★★
Mai-Otome ★★★, Eureka 7 ★★★.

Ive seen many other anime's but they elude me at this time.

Anyone thats a gamer and does not consider themsevles a fan of anime I challenge you not to enjoy Appleseed (2004 version not 1998) Great animation coupled with computer graphics and some great action scenes make it complelling viewing.

Who says you grow out of anime? (Besides Whitefire). They treat cartoons like we do live-action... any topic (yes even that) is covered, so really, you might as well say you grew out of TV (which clearly here in the states at least doesnt happen).

Oh, and Kiljoy, you may be suprised what you find... just get away from what is on the TV itself. I reccomend (tastes dependant) Generator Gawl or Gungrave (it may have been a game first, but it became a REALLY good anime).

I used to be entrenched in anime. I looked for obscure titles and crazy stuff like that. Then I asked myself "WTF am I doing?"

I think it has to do with the fact that I've probably watched all the anime that merits watching. I.E. All the good anime is over with; it's all junk now with bad English VA.

I still watch Bleach, but I only watch the dubbed stuff cause most of the English VA's on it are bland and emotionless (Zaraki's and Rukia's VA being the worst ones)

Despite me always saying "subs are better then dubs", DBZ is if not the only show I can watch either way, the character voices just fit in so nicely as if it was made in the americas and not in Japan. Since then no anime has ever matched character voices with such precision.

There are other good dubs out there, such as Macross Plus, but the desire to invest in good ADR died when the general revenue was taken away from the English ADR business. So instead of dubbing of the likes of Anime Pioneer, you get the clock-watching (of English speaking voice actors) rubbish of companies such as Manga Video.

Honestly, I found Bebop good, but over-rated. I mean, the whole story is about 8 eps long. Me and that much filler rarely get along.

Innocent venus, Naruto Shippuden, and I read Manga. I used to watch Yu Yu hakusho (may have misplled that) and Rerouni Kenshin. Until Toonami took them off. Speaking of toonami how many of you hear have seen toonami on cartoon network, It used to be good but now all they have their are 2 episodes of the crappy dubbed naruto, 1 episode of One Piece that is also badly dubbed, and last but not least reruns of Dragonball Z. I rmember when toonami had good anime it.
