Yeah, they do play it. However if you're looking for a new CoD game and you played CoD 5 first you'll find it very different. Try renting it first to make sure that you like it.

Or maybe wait until CoD:MW 2 comes out.

I play it a lot. Almost daily still. And the rooms are full as ever. There's tons of people still playing it. I think it won't slow down until Modern Warfare 2 comes out.

Absolutely! I played COD4 pretty much all day yesterday and not once could I not find a match. I played some Search & Destroy as well as Headquarters, every game was full. I don't really think you need to worry about people not playing it, even after MW2 comes out.
