So for the 4th of July weekend I took my wife and daughter up the mountains to go camping. We took lots of pictures while we were up there. I realized how lucky I am to live in such a beautiful place, as the place we stayed at (and the pictures I've posted) are just a 15 minute drive from my house. I live in Utah, just on the borders of the Uintah National Forest.
So what did you do for the 4th? Share pictures if you got them!
And for our non American friends that didn't celebrate the 4th, feel free to post scenic pictures of your area, if you wish. It's always nice to see new places.

On the drive up there.

This is where we stayed the night. I was standing just outside our camper.

And this is my puddle jumper. I've named him Darth. The front grill reminds me of Darth Vaders mask. :)

It's only 11am here!! LOL So far I've woken up, made breakfast, drank coffee, showered, and posted in the forums here. My parents are up for a visit though and we're having a cookout with the neighbors later. My husband has run off with his kids and the neighbors to go tubing. Crap...I just realized he probably took the car I wanted to drive today...awwwwww...pooo.

Well I did some exciting things. I stayed home, played Persona and watched This is Spinal Tap for the first time.

Also, kind of going into the future here, but later tonight I will go watch the fireworks display and hang out with friends. I am sure I have a good time in this future event .

Well, normally it's a BBQ with friends and family at my Neighbor's place. Nothing to special, and it's what we're doing today. But 2 years ago I did something different... I spent it in a hospital getting surgery  I was actually in surgery when fireworks were going off, so I didn't see any.

Well, my 4th of July weekend started a couple of days ago. So that camping trip was over the last couple days with my in-laws. As for today(the 4th), my wife went back up to the campground with her parents, my daughter is at my parent's house and I'm home alone. I can't tell you the last time I was home alone! I don't even know what to do!

Whip out the ti-vo(thats if you have)

Put on a wife beater(Thats if you have)

And get wasted to the point where you cant remember your last name

*(and this is only if you feel like it)*

Hope what you ever end up doing goes well.

@kimandre

That's kind of crazy you guys have a parade and all that schtick on the fourth way the hell over there with American stuff. =P Kind of cool, though.

oh wow, last night one of my neighbors was doing fireworks, the ones were you use the tubes to launch them into the air. Anyways, they went to do three at once. One went off fine, when didn't launch and blew right there in the middle of the street, and the third fell over and launched under their truck and went off. I hear someone say, "Okay, we're not doing any more of those." Next thing I know though they are trying to launch four at once. I'm surprised none of them got hurt.

I ate like 7 BBQ ribs for dinner and then went to watch some fireworks from on top of the car.

People were celebrating it England just across the road by having fireworks. I swear they are doing it to piss us off.

I chilled at the resort in Hawaii I'm staying at, and my brother and I came across a stray cat. It was nice after the jet lag, but I was the only one to stay up and watch the fireworks. Oh well.

By the way, I'm staying in Hawaii for the next two weeks, so I won't be posting much until July 18.

Considering it was the first clear night in about a month, I spent it with my telescope trying to track down Saturn again. I did wear my bright blue festive underwear, though...

Wow, that didn't sound quite so sad in my head. =P

For my 4th of July we scared some cops off the beach with illegal fireworks. Then if they came we started booing them.

Started drinking Friday night at our camp site, woke up at 9 and ate some spiked watermelon for breakfast. Had my first Budweiser by 11 when we started floating. About 15 beers and a 5th of vodka (with skittles ) later I was passed out. Still got a bit of a headache, but easily the best float trip ever!
