For anyone whos interested the show Penn & Teller:bullshit will be doin a show on violence in video games which will air this thursday at 9 pm on showtime. Since its gaming related id figure id let people know. They probably wont be saying anything that use as gamers dont already know unlike those news pundits on fox news(I REALLY HATE THEM) but it will still probably be amusing.

Quick note: they use alot of profanity and they frequently have naked people in their show so if you dont want your kids seeing all that there will air it again throughout the weekend and all next week im guessing at close to the same time.

Ill be watchin it:lol:

Penn and Teller are excellent. If you haven't read their Wired article on the art of illusion, it's definitely worth a read.

I just started getting into their show. The last episode about astrology had me rolling.

I find it interesting that people are still up in arms over Fox news, but don't seem to realize that every news network has done hatchet jobs on video games. Fox's Mass Effect story pales in comparison to the coverage that GTA3 and Vice City got from the big 3 networks. Hell, even CNN has done hit jobs despite the fact that they had a video game segment on the network.

The problem is that the media still sees video games as an activity for kids. They don't realize that the industry has grown and now markets to adults too. So when they see a violent video game their first reaction is going to be that it's being targeted at kids.
