I've considering one of these games.
I'm most tempted by Call of Duty 4 because I like the modern era more than the WWII setting, but if no one plays it it'll be a bad bay.

Should I go for CoD4 that I find more appealing, or go with World at War?
Are people still playing Cod4 multiplayer?

Even if you're leaning towards CoD 4 there's no point as the next in the Modern Warfare series is coming out in November. So go with CoD:WaW instead.

Loads of people play both. but as cheese already said MW2 is coming out so get WAW

i payed $30 for the orange box and $60 for CoD4 that's $90 total, they were worth it but $19 is a ****ing amazing deal =D

and to answer your question about cod4 yes there is still LOTS of people playing cod4 and i am one of them =D

The only thing that COD:WAW does better than COD 4 is the CTF mode, and Nazi Zombies.
Looks like you made a good choice, although you should have gotten Killzone 2 :P.

cod4 is in my opinion the best game of both
I also think that there were more people playing cod4 than playing waw
in addition to that WWII games got absolutely bugging because there were too many of them published and developed :undecided:

Just tried CoD4, and while I was utterly crushed in MP I did have fun. Will have to play some more... Very soon! :)

Agree, the WWII theme has been done to death and back several times already, both historically correct and with some "modifications" (zombies, occult rites and aliens).

Definatley get MW, the fact MW2's coming out soon is more reason to get the first one as MW2 is a direct sequelso its worth getting into the story of it.

yeah definately! you can sell it on ebay for £22 easily if you dont like it, you're seriously missing out though dude Amazing multiplayer fantastic story, it is a must have.

COD WaW because of the depth and all the crazy things you can do. COD 4 is a great game though.

CoD4 is definetly the better title

I just bought COD4 : GOTY, it was worth it, me and my two friends are totally addicted to the online and I just finished the story (wow amazing ending). I mean you are going to get a good four months outta of it before MW2 drops so I say get COD4.

WAW is just way too serious compared to MW ... It has a dark theme and nearly no humour ...

is there a comparison, i mean, seriously anyone who thinks CoD5 is better then CoD4 is a lunatic..in my opinion anyways

MW is better than WaW, and it's coming with a sequel. so yeah!
