View Full Version : Vent server?
robz48 07-12-2009, 09:15 AM i was thinking that it might be a good idea to get a vent server for Extra life.
i would be willing to contribute towards it if some other people would as-well.
Artemas 07-12-2009, 10:28 AM A what?
PillowFort 07-12-2009, 01:33 PM A what?It's okay.

egg651 07-19-2009, 09:20 AM Sounds like a good idea. I'm sure someone out there will be able tom make a subchannle for sg, and if not we'll just use an empty server
blackcat0158 07-19-2009, 09:41 AM Hey, maybe we'd be... "lucky" enough to get one of the harassment people to pester us for the full 24.
GideonB 07-19-2009, 11:51 AM Does anyone actually have a Vent server/xfire voice server/teamspeak ready for Extra Life 2009, if so just say because me and my friend own a teamspeak and we dont mind people using it.

Teamspeak would be great! How many slots is it?
Thompson 07-20-2009, 05:35 AM My CoD clan (PotW) has a teamspeak server that could be used, each channel can accommodate 40 users.
Diortem 07-20-2009, 12:40 PM Xfire has it's own private servers, and Im pretty sure we can setup a room without an issue. That said, Im fairly certain we will be between that, Steam, and the various chat programs of the consoles played. (I know I plan to have Xfire open constantly and use others game dependant.)
MrBernz 07-20-2009, 03:31 PM Not to be mr negative, but what would it be used for really? Planning out before hand? During the actually event it wouldn't be that great especially if people are playing on line games and want to be voice chatting with the game they are playing.

Some games do not include their own voip solution, and the games that do often are low quality. It could be used just to chat as people are playing, with people sharing their experiences as they happened.
