Unfortunately we get little praise and even littler pay compared to other public service (fire and police mainly) workers. I've never understood that because police may stop that burglar and firemen may put out your house fire but if you get shot by that burglar or burned in that house fire it's EMS that keeps your a$$ out of the Grim Reapers bony hands! I have no Idea what that pay relates to in U.S. $$$ - prolly a ton :D :lol: well your not missing much, being a stonemason is very physically draining (the average headstone weighing 255kg - I don’t know what that is in pounds but that’s just the standard size, the bigger ones are a bitch) and being a funeral director is very mentally draining. When people recognise me in the street they smile but in their eyes you can see that I am just a painful reminder of a lost one. We train the soldiers going through basic training and AIT(advanced individual training). My job is mostly paperwork now, but I have been to Afghanistan in my last unit. Being supply used to be a pretty safe job, but with IEDs and the like we are just as big of targets when we are on our convoys as the combat arms soldiers. I love my job and wish I had more time to play all the games that are coming out and have come out. Comared to Fort Polk (100+ degrees for 8 months with 100% humidy, 75 degrees with 100% humidy the rest of the year) GREAT! Biggest plus is I'm only 4 hours from my wife and I's family. Which at first glance, has a somewhat important sound to the title. The "P.L.E." is the guy who collects all the shopping carts, and helps people load stuff into their vehicles.
