Sometimes the things that happen behind the scenes, here at Sarcastic gamer, are pretty interesting… Okay, so they’re not that interesting, but they are funny… Fine, they’re not particularly funny either, but they are … a form of content? Yeah, that’ll do! After a number of not-interesting-or-funny emails, it was suggested that we should start posting some of this humour-and-interest-free content on the front page. And so we did! And here it is! Here! Now! In front of your eyeballs!

Subject: Spaces to be filled
A wise man once said to me, “Eoco, you’ve got guts! Sending out emails to all staff everyday, really takes some doing! How do you manage it?”. I replied to that man, “I just know that it’s all worthwhile”. The man cackled, amused by my apparent faith in the power of email, but I knew I was right! I knew, that with a quick bit of e-text, a veritable plethora of content would flood WordPress in such a short time that Yamster and I would be positively overwhelmed.
What’s everyone working on, and would could everyone be working on?

Well, today is a Wednesday! Sweet opportunity-filled Wednesday!
Before I go on with the usual content-inducingness, I just want to congratulate you all on yesterday. What a marvelous day of content that was! Havok’s article on the Dante Inferno Comic, Krelith’s excellent Extra Life Video (and all those other articles from every person on staff) lead to the finest day of content we’ve experienced… ever!
In particular, a congratulatory e-handshake goes to Frawlz for his article entitled The Complex Political Economy of East-West Energy Trade . I’m not quite sure how it was relevant to gaming, but who cares? The 7,089 Diggs speak for themselves!
Great work yesterday guys, keep it up!

Thump.
That is the sound made by beat of the drum,
Eager and keen, is what staff become,
That is the sound made by the crash of a server,
As we get so many hits from the casual observer,
That is the sound made by fingers on keys,
As we quickly type articles for all to see.
And the content rolls in, and the content rolls out,
For that is what Sarcastic Gamer is all about.

If I was to tow a toe to Toulouse, how much content would be in pending?
Obviously it depends on the type of tow (human made fibres or natural fibres) and the type of toe (big, small, overly-toe-shaped etc.), but ultimately the answer lies within all of us.
Within our hearts.
Can we, the Sarcastic Gamer staff, muster up the courage, determination and fortitude to go that extra mile?
To take that extra risk?
To be that extra someone?
To write that extra content?
Yes.
Yes we can.
And we shall.
And we shall do it now.
Better than anyone else!

Ahem … I, uh, appear to have got a bit carried away there (I should really stop reading Motivational Speech Writing For Dummies). Nevertheless, I feel compelled to ask: what’s everyone working on, and would could everyone be working on?
Let’s have another day like yesterday, guys*.
*Guys used as an umbrella term for people of all genders
