Pretty Good list not exactly perfect to me but all around good!

I saw a few good songs on there, but I'm not finding anything by Jonathan Coulton so I'll probably pass on GH5.

I counted around 25 songs there that I enjoy, but that really doesn't get me wanting to buy the game. Also, Elliott Smith? That's insane, love the guy's music but never thought I'd see him on a game like this.

World Tour got me into a few bands that I wouldn't normally go for, hopefully this will too, plus the songs I already love which I said I like the look of

When will Activision learn that transferring songs from game to game for a small fee is the right way foward, instead they shove Guitar Hero: Greatest Hits down our necks. Rock Band got it right but Guitar Hero continually lags behind.

I'm liking this list a lot better than GH:WT, despite the lack of Mars Volta making a return appearance.

With songs like 21st Century Schizoid Man, Sultans of Swing, Lithium, just to name a few, how can you not love this setlist?

Not too shabby, although there are only three or four songs I'm really excited to play. I also saw a couple of songs in there that are already out on RB2 as DLC.
There's a lot of songs I'd like to play, and a lot of music out there that deserves to be in GH or RB, but for some reason isn't. How about some Mattsyahu? Or some Mighty Might Bosstones?
Or how about, goddammit, some f'n Led Zep already? I've been listening to the Mothership album and it's f'n fantastic. What the hell do Jimmy Page and Robert plant want? Get with the times grandpas. Letting the people play your music on a video game will not cheapen the music at all. In fact, it'll bring your music to new audiences. F*#k!!!
My kids will grow up listening to and playing along to Fallout Boy and the Jonas Bros and think it's the bees knees. It's a good thing my wife has good taste in music because we are trying to teach our daughters what that is. We'll let 'em listen to Hannah Montana, but we also try to introduce 'em to good shit, like Led Zep and the Beatles. I am a hundred times more excited for the Beatles RB than I am for GH5. Beatles RB will have fewer, but far better songs than GH5, IMO. That is what I'm saving my money for, not this.

I agree with what Lono said on respawn radio, all of these are little known songs by famous artists, seems like activision are trying to save money on licensing fees by putting in B-sides like The killers song.

The Mighty Mighty Bosstones are in Rock Band 2.... and not every band ever can get in a game. I've never heard of Mattsyahu, and if they're a really obscure band it may be a while. But I agree there are a lot of bands who need more exposure in rhythm games...

Led Zeppelin are worse than Lars Ulrich for money-grabbing. They want loads. It's not that Harmonix and NeverVision haven't tried to get them, its that they can't. It's a shame, I'd love to play Rock & Roll, Lemon Song, Heartbreaker, etc, but it isn't gonna happen any time soon.

Luckily, those bands are never gonna be ones people would stick to listening to for life. I highly doubt your kids'd be listening to JB and Hannah Montana when they're 20. If they do, I pity you. But I respect you trying to get them into different music. It always helps to have more diverse tastes, and most of the best music lies way out of the mainstream. And I'm with you about RB:Beatles, and in a perfect world, we wouldn't be seeing stuff like Sex on Fire in these games. But at the end of the day, GH is trying to appeal to a more modern and mainstream(ish) taste, and some people like that.

I however, am reigned to an endless future of being Harmonix's bitch. And liking it.
