I can't see the WHSmith rumour being true, as far as I'm concerned they're not very popular here in the UK as a game retailer. Also, for them to be the first to come out and say something like this instead of the major game retailers in the UK it just seems to be not true.

Well, that's a third party deduction that it isn't taking a loss... and even if a PS3 Slim is released (and it will be... and we'll know more about that sooner than some people think), are they able to FURTHER reduce costs to not take a loss on a price-reduced new model or are they going to jump back into the red with the hopes of expanding the install base? Releasing a PS3 Slim without a significant accompanying price cut would be obscenely stupid.

Interesting stat that MS only sold 100k more 360s in Q1 '09 than Sony sold PS3s. Think about that a second... in my mind, it just seems that the difference should've been a LOT bigger but it wasn't. I'm assuming those are global numbers but I wouldn't swear to it.

I didn't have the heart to tell him he even pronounced Oregon wrong when he thought he did it right. At least that's not how we pronounce it. :lol:

The way the people in Eugene (btw, emphasis on the 2nd syllable there... yoo-JEEN), is like saying "or a gun" but the "gun" is almost missing the "u" as it's said very quickly... quicker than you'd say "gun". So "or uh gn" I guess.
