I would like to see a Sonic Adventure Movie, Halo, Assassin's Creed, or Zelda movie.

Just a movie based in the TES universe, not after any particular game or anything. Maybe after an event hidden away in the lore or something, idk. I do know there is a ton of potential there, and there hasn't been any good medieval'esk movies out in quite some time.

Oh, the Battle at Red Mountain would make a fantastic movie. That way we would be able to actually see the disappearance of the Dwemer, not just read a whole bunch of documents spaced out in the games to guesstimate what happened.... even if it is considered canon.

I would agree with the portal idea. That would make a perfect 2 hour long movie. Plot? Not needed! Long as GlaDOS was in there the whole time talking, I would be satisfied. :P

I think American Mcgee's "Alice" would make a pretty damn interesting movie. I know Tim Burton's got an adaption of the book on the way, which I also can't wait to see.

On another note, I would love to see "The Looking-Glass Wars" made into a game, while I'm on the topic of Alice in Wonderland. It's an AMAZING series, and if done right, could make an amazing game.

I think an Assassins Creed movie would be great, they could really make a decent film out of it.

Being a fan of the series, I also believe that a Halo movie would be cool, that's why it sucked when it got canned.

I'm not a fan of Video Game movies. I think Video Game stories seem much better than they really are because of the interactivity. I really wouldn't want to watch a playthrough of Mass Effect or Metal Gear Solid, the only reason I get into the stories is because I get to control the Character's actions. If I had to watch a movie based on a game, I would want it to be GTA IV. I think more backstory could be given for all of the characters, especially Niko's story from his former country.

No. Just no. I don't want to see one of my favorite games hijacked by Hollywood and subsequently b@stardized.

Let it be known that I will go see any of these movies on day 1, twice, if they are made.

Half Life 2 + Portal combo movie...since they take place at the same time in the same universe.

Zelda - If the same people IGN teamed up with were to actually make a full movie like that fake trailer, I would totally watch it twice in theaters and get it on DVD. Twice.

The World Ends With You It's practically a movie already, with all the story. Needless to say, it'd make a cool anime movie.

Live Action Pokémon  :w00t: This would be akin to a Yu-Gi-Oh movie with a main character that sports Yugi's exact overly dramatic spiky yellow hair. Hilariously wrong yet awesome.

i agree with some of you guys that an Assassins Creed film would be pretty cool, as long as they stayed in the history part of the game, rather than try to incorporate the 'present time' part of the game.

i also think that The Darkness could be made into a pretty cool film, hopefully steering clear of the style they used for the Max Payne film.

Halo's an obvious one, but now that's been canned it'll never happen! :(

A film set in the Half Life world would be pretty awesome, they could even do it without any of the story from the games, creating an addition to the overall story rather than just re-hashing the story from the games into a film.

Besides the obligatory Zelda plug, I cannot bring myself to exclude the fantastical Trauma Center! It's not often you see an excellent movie based around surgery nowadays; it's always from the perspective of some poor lads who can't seem to escape the humanity-consuming viral outbreak no matter where their feet carry them! But I ask you: who is it that find the cure? The brave souls who save the world? The underappreciated workers whose only mention in the plot is "A team of scientists have discovered the cure"? The surgeons, I tell you!

Clap not for Don Marco, clap for surgeons! Nay, applaud them!

There are several video games that could be turned into a good movie. Resistance 1 and 2 could be a great movie and writen by a good writer. With a great team working on Bioshock, it as well could be a good movie. Also Killzone 1 and 2 could be made into a good movie. I do not want anyone to try to make an Uncharted or inFamous movies. If they were to mess anything up about the story or characters, it would completely screw up the movie, and not even be worth making.

Look what i found on Wikipedia......

Film
Industry rumors after the game's release suggested a film adaptation of the game would be made, utilizing similar green screen filming techniques as in the movie 300 to recreate the environments of Rapture.[168] On May 9, 2008, Take Two announced a deal with Universal Studios to produce a BioShock movie, to be directed by Gore Verbinski (Pirates of the Caribbean, The Ring) and written by John Logan (Gladiator, The Aviator, Star Trek Nemesis, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street).[169] The film was expected to be released in 2010, but was put on hold due to budget concerns.[170].

Spielberg actor Shia LaBeouf has been talking about how the director is fascinated with the game BioShock lately, and also that word has it that "CAA, who rep both Spielberg and Beattie, is pushing these negotiations heavily."

Assuming a great director and not Uwe Boll had control of the movie, there are just so many possibilities.

Left 4 Dead
Halo
GTA IV
Mass Effect (This needs to be a movie soooo badly. Star Wars is ruined. We need a new sci fi movie series)
Metal Gear Solid
Rainbow Six Vegas
Fallout
Half-Life
Assassin's Creed
Red Faction
Devil May Cry
God Of War!
The Godfather. Oh, wait...
Crackdown
Baldur's Gate
Tenchu
Army of Two

Hitman. Yeah, try again, you Hollywood assholes.

How about a good Resident Evil with the original storyline? Give me Chris Redfield, Jill Valentine, Albert Wesker, and yes, even Barry, in a big scary mansion, damn you! It's not an action movie, it's a mystery/thriller with limited ammo and nowhere to hide.

The Darkness would be great and I wouldn't be surprised if it happened one day.

I think after one more Bale/Nolan Batman, they should do an arc similar to Arkham Asylum, obviously without a Joker, though. Maybe rewrite if for the Riddler.

I would love someone to take the characters from Kane & Lynch and rewrite it into a good story because there was so much potential, and then make a movie with the rewrite.

Alright that's every game short of Pac Man that could potentially be a good movie.

Ok i'm seeing a pattern there are alot of good games mentioned here that wouldn't translate well into movies because of different reasons

mass effect is about the choices you make and while the enviroment would be cool the only way they could do it would be if they based it off the books, not the game (same with a halo movie)

ah but so far...we want a good movie based on video games and prince of persia seems to have sparked conversation that it could be the movie Video games have been looking for to be good. unfortunately this might be the beginning of a money run by directors for rights to make games into movies and then it would be a few good ones among a larger slew of horrific ones but hey, i'll take the few good ones and enjoy 'em.

PacMan: The Movie. It would be a retelling of the epic adventure of one small PacMan setting off on a journey to find all the spherey things on Earth, facing the fearsome ghosts on the way.

No, really, I think that one of the next Batman films should be based around Arkham, I also think Left 4 Dead could work quite well as a survival/horror film, you can imagine some really jumpy moments, and you could have the characters die one by one, slowly and painfully...too sick?
I also think Assassin's Creed, and maybe COD4, but definitely Mass Effect. It would work incredibly well.
