I've been on the fence about this game for a while now. I found it on sale, but I'm still not sure if it's worth more than a rent. What do you suggest?

View Full Version : Call of Jaurez: Bound in Blood...rent or buy? SpecJoe Magic 08-05-2009, 08:16 PM I've been on the fence about this game for a while now. I found it on sale, but I'm still not sure if it's worth more than a rent. What do you suggest? MightyMutt 08-06-2009, 02:35 AM I bought it and I am enjoying it but I would recommend renting it - as long as you can rent it for a while, it seems quite long. TinyButDeadly 08-06-2009, 06:05 AM I asked myself the same question and I also dont know whether to rent or buy this game. I might rent it and if i like it might puirchase it for myself. Also another reason to rent is you can get the platinum in a few hours. :undecided: AssassinsClaw 08-06-2009, 07:58 AM i'd probably just rent it. OMG 08-08-2009, 10:32 AM I thought about buying the original, but I rented it instead and was sort of glad I did. It wasn't one that I thought back on and said to myself "hey, I really feel like playing that game again." I enjoy western games, but if I'm going to buy one this year it will be Red Dead Redemption. lazarus585 08-10-2009, 10:24 AM I'm enjoying the game, but it isn't a shooter that really stands out from the crowd. It's just a basic shooter, a small selection of weapons and can get frustrating at times, but it has a good story. I'd recommend renting this first and see if it impresses you enough to buy. Devin 08-10-2009, 01:06 PM Definitely rent it since the multi player is not that great, and even though there are the two different characters i did not want to go back and play it. Did any one else have problems with freezing? lazarus585 08-10-2009, 02:41 PM Did any one else have problems with freezing? I just had a lot of problems with Hit detection, haven't had any freezing yet. cjschmidt1494 08-10-2009, 04:13 PM i had this same question. Thanks for answering it. Shane86 08-10-2009, 04:14 PM I rented it today for a week, should be long enough Salem 08-12-2009, 11:47 AM from what i heard it's a rent, but if it floats your boat go ahead and buy it SpecJoe Magic 08-13-2009, 10:17 PM Thanks for all of your input. My wife was wanting to order something from Amazon anyway, so I decided to buy the game because it pushed the total over $25, which qualified us for free shipping on both items. Besides, it was only $35 on Amazon, and I think it's worth that much, though I wouldn't recommend it at full price. Overall, it's a solid game, but I'm probably just going to play through the story once and be done with it. xWhit3XFeath3Rx 08-13-2009, 10:42 PM $35? That's a great price, in my opinion, for the game. I thought the story mode was pretty decent, but the multiplayer is a blast. I highly recommend trying it out. |
