We have a prem one, why not FL one?

First matchday for most teams today, so lets hear how your team gets on, and just talk about anything to do with the topic and stuff... I can't write as much as PureDarkness cause I can't be arsed

Argyle are 1-0 up against Crystal Palace... top of the league when it happened

American football is American, football is worldwide. And the lower divisions of England are literally called "The Football League".

I watched the Newcastle vs West Brom game, will be interesting to see how Newcastle do this season, Shearer says he will manage them when they get a new owner.

That was quite a good game. I cant believe they let that disgusting wretch of a human being (joey barton) still play

Come on man seriously just say soccer in the thread title Football is american.

The first use of the word 'Football' was to describe what people in Europe call Football. Then the Americans adopted the word for a sport where you use mainly your hands. Make sense?

Was out for the Newcastle-WBA game, what was the score?

Okey dokes, goalscorers?

You could just checl this on BBC sport :P

Martis scored from West Brom and then Duff equalised with a sublime finish. Harper got injured and came off at half time. Krul replaced him and played really well, stopping West Brom from winning.

That had to be the most stupid, uninformed statement ever, rugby and american football are so very different

Seeing as i was banned from the premier league thread i thought i would post this on the other engkish keagues. Predictions?

I reckon Ipswich will do well under Roy Keane this year, hopefully we will get promoted.

And it's too early to say but i reckon Colchester will also do well (7-1 on first day against against our rivals:lol:)

Top scorers i reckon Walters, Prisskin and possibly Chopra (i dunno:undecided:)
Promotion I reckon Ipswich, West Brom and Newcastle, with Cardiff just missing out.

What are your predictions? Seen any of the games?

This also covers the Carling and FA Cups.
