View Full Version : If You Could Only Have One Game, What Would It Be?
MercenaryR56 08-13-2009, 06:26 PM For me, it would proably be LittleBigPlanet, because of the fact that that game can provide an endless combination of things to do and endless fun.
My second option would acually be Star Wars Repubic Commando on PC. Thats the first game that got me into gaming, and I used to play it all day for weeks at a time. I had a blast online against others and beat the single player campaign like 8 times.
How about you guys?
ThePianoMan 08-13-2009, 06:27 PM Final Fantasy X
Endless amount of challenges
Raven 08-13-2009, 06:44 PM A mix of Mass Effect and Fallout 3 shooter rpg with an online Battlefield or Call of Duty multiplayer.
Chubbaluphigous 08-13-2009, 06:49 PM Minesweeper
Gilarus 08-13-2009, 06:50 PM Tetris
xWhit3XFeath3Rx 08-13-2009, 08:24 PM Battlefield: Bad Company
Metcon 08-13-2009, 08:57 PM I would have to say the orange box. Never really spent too much time with it but the variety it gives you would make it last longer than some other games would.
KumiKaze 08-13-2009, 09:01 PM As I recently just played and finished 1 run through, I would have to go with Mass Effect. Just stupidly awesome.
Runner Up: Tough choice between either Madden or FIFA
Nightkiller93 08-13-2009, 09:10 PM Fallout 3, just so i can play it again without finishing it by accident.
Ploogle 08-13-2009, 09:14 PM The World Ends With You, or Pokémon Diamond. Both of those games have depth, massive replayability, multiplayer, and a large community. I would have a seriously hard time deciding between the two.

Ummm...that's not really a game. That's a boxed set.
DeathByWaffle 08-13-2009, 09:53 PM Online games: If the community was bigger, GoW PC
SP: Either GTA4 for the great story and lots of room for mindless fun just messing around, or Persona 4, because just doing the main story alone is like 60 hours, and with side missions it's more like 80-90.
petergriffen1990 08-13-2009, 10:25 PM Metal Gear Solid 2:Son Of Liberty
or
Kingdom Hearts 2
or
Final Fantasy X
TamarindLAZ 08-13-2009, 10:40 PM Can we have online games? Probably not, so I'll describe a single player game.
Probably Metal Gear Solid 3 Subsistence.
That is an awesome game, and is in the top games list for me. There is an awesome story, with awesome cutscenes, easter eggs, gameplay, I can also mix it up with things like knife runs/sneak runs.
Second would be Resident Evil 4.
Quixotic Hamster 08-13-2009, 10:58 PM I can say with an absolute lack of hesitation, nay, no second thoughts at all, that I would be perfectly pleased to play Super Smash Brothers Brawl for all eternity. All of my friends, foes, and friendlies of mention have familiarized themselves to a shocking degree, and we never cease to turn our faces blue from laughter and exhilaration! Why, we would still be playing Melee if Brawl hadn't come out! I can find no greater joy in a game than Brawl, and that is why I place nothing at all above it.
Cheese 08-14-2009, 04:31 AM Saints Row 2
InuShonen 08-14-2009, 04:48 AM Good choice Hampster! I think I would also have to go with either Super Smash Bros. Brawl oooor my old favorite Counter-Strike. For some reason these two games just never get old to me.
Purple Demon 08-14-2009, 05:06 AM Rock Band 2. With the weekly DLC, I'd be sure to never grow bored of it.
Officer Mudkip 08-14-2009, 05:20 AM Fifa 09 :D
GammaFist 08-14-2009, 07:32 AM Any game that has all my games and games I want on one disk like orange box

Ok seriously I would probably play something like GTA4 or Fallout 3 as they a lot of gameplay and either will take you 30-40 hours if you rush it but if you take your time they can last a lot longer. Im kinda struggling to decide which would be better as Fallout 3 offers more hours of gameplay with the content on the disc alone whereas GTA4 offers more variation in gameplay and the dlc seems to open up a completely different way to play it although the same could be said of fallout 3 as you could be a different class, make different choices etc.

TWINS!
EDIT: Why don't caps stick unless I add this?
Definitely Team Fortress 2. Why I hear you ask? Valve have just kept on putting out new content making it always seems fresh. Plus the community is brilliant, bringing a lot of life into an already lively game.
Wrath99 08-14-2009, 10:59 AM Dues Ex 1
smelly pirate 08-14-2009, 05:49 PM Dr. Mario.
No, wait...yeah...Dr. Mario.
Jarrett 08-14-2009, 05:55 PM A toss up between Kingdom Hearts II, COD4, Tetris, Pokemon Platinum, and Final Fastasy XII.
I would most likely go with KH2.
darkmonk 08-14-2009, 05:59 PM Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. That game is an an insanely fun beast. Somebody on here tell me you've beaten it, collected all the items, and have full map completion with less than 200 hours, and I'll happily call you a liar.
>> As an aside, i have 231:02 in it, and still don't have everything. Damn game.
TomCoopz 08-14-2009, 06:06 PM inFamous!!!! *froths at mouth* sorry I have the pigsniffles

Aside 2: I have over 2000 hours in files for FFX, and could still get 10x that thru challenges and finishing current files completely.
OSGRO would be a great try

0.0 How did you manage to pull 2000 hours worth of content out of FFX? >> It was fairly straightforward?
DeadpoolSkye 08-14-2009, 06:19 PM Definitely Fallout 3. I can play that game 7 times in a row and not get bored. I've logged about 270 hours into that game.
I'm a lame...
TamarindLAZ 08-14-2009, 06:25 PM Probably Metal Gear Solid 3, runner up Resident Evil 4 or 5 I can decide which one is better.
LOL first of all, like ThePianoMan said, we're TWINS!
That not a tough choice, Resident Evil 4 is better. Seriously, go back and play 4 and you'll be so pissed at what Resident Evil 5 turned out to be.
cjschmidt1494 08-14-2009, 06:31 PM Dang it you took my idea for a thread. I would have to agree with people on fallout 3.
Lokela 08-14-2009, 07:03 PM I would take my first love...well...I don't actually remember the name of the game, but it was a pc adventure game where your character traveled to the Amazon. I tired googling it, but I kept getting articles about amazon.com. I played it when I was 9 or 10 in the early 90's. A great game it was.
MercenaryR56 08-14-2009, 09:26 PM inFamous!!!! *froths at mouth* sorry I have the pigsniffles
inFamous is a great game, but I couldn't imagine having only that to play :P
I still haven't gotten enough will power to find the last shard I need for the platnium.
Dang it you took my idea for a thread. I would have to agree with people on fallout 3.
Lolz, gotta be faster =D
BlackCyan 08-14-2009, 09:32 PM I'd have to go with Fallout 3, I just love that game so much, I am just hopeful that the DCL gets released on PS3 sometime this century.
ThePianoMan 08-15-2009, 04:53 AM 0.0 How did you manage to pull 2000 hours worth of content out of FFX? >> It was fairly straightforward?
First Playthrough, ended up getting thru most Dark Aeons and some of the Monster Arena - 500 hours
2nd Playthrough, all Dark Aeons, celestials, still couldn't complete the monster arena tho - 650 hours
3rd Playthrough, NSGNENNE (No Sphere Grid, No Escape, No No Encounters), Rikku played main part, did all Arena except Originals (tho managed to beat Catastrophe once or twice) - 700 hours
4th Playthrough, AONENNE (Auron-Only, No Escape, No No Encounters), current playthrough, capturing mainly done, done a few sidequests, Dark Valefor down, Armour-creating for different uses, got my main one done tho - 200 hours and counting
