Last year Doc had a letter written up as a guide to use (if you wanted to) when asking for donations. It described what extralife is all about and was really helpful when I wrote my own email to people asking for donations. Well here it is a year later, and I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone happen to have a link to it?

Here is what I send out. It should be really close, if not exactly, to the one doc posted.
Dear World,
On Saturday, October 18th I am going to have a LOT of fun. Not only am I going to get to play video games for 24 hours straight, but I am also going to be raising money and awareness to fight pediatric cancer. Given that gaming marathons are something I (and some of you might) do for kicks, I saw it as a great idea and way to raise money for an equally great cause. The program is called Extra Life. It's like a walk-a-thon, but for your thumbs.
Cancer attacks kids across all demographic and geographic lines. It is ruthless and very scary for both a child and their family. It’s my hope that through Extra Life and other programs that raise money for research and treatment, we will continue to see the amazing strides that we have seen in the past 20 years.
Please consider sponsoring my efforts for just 1 dollar per hour ($24). If you can do more, that would be fantastic! But anything helps… a lot.
The money raised, every penny of it, will go directly to benefit pediatric cancer treatment and research at Texas Children’s Cancer Center at Texas Children’s Hospital. TxCCC is one of the largest pediatric cancer and hematology centers in the WORLD, and sees kids from all 50 states and over 80 countries. Every child gets the same ground-breaking treatment, regardless of their family’s financial situation.
To sponsor me right now, please visit this link or copy and paste it into your browser.

here you go
Makers of great video games,
Welcome. You've just been linked to an opportunity for your company and products to be associated with an incredible program called Extra Life.
Extra Life is a 24-hour worldwide video game marathon taking place on October 18th. The event benefits pediatric cancer research and treatment at one of the planet's premier cancer and hematology centers, Texas Children's Cancer Center.
So far more than 30 websites and nearly a thousand gamers from all corners of the world are already hard at work, gathering personal hourly sponsors for the marathon.
Additionally, companies like Playswitch.com and Sumolounge.com have already stepped forward to provide some great incentives for our participants.
We anxiously await YOUR support.
Each year, gamers support your company to a greater and greater extent, pushing the industry to incredible levels of success and possibility.
From time to time, however, we need you to support us.
In this case, we simply ask that your company help us raise awareness, attract participants, and even provide matching donation incentives to make Extra Life the event we all know it can be.
With or without corporate support, we know Extra Life will be an incredibly successful event... it already is.
But when a company stands with its consumers for a common cause, well that's when the impossbile becomes reality.
Please join us as a non-exclusive sponsor for Extra Life.
Best,
Doc Adams
