Was thinking of getting this for christmas... http://www.play-asia.com/paOS-13-71-9h-49-en-70-2f7r.html

I only bought 4 or 5 games for my psp and then I didn't play it for about 6 months so I traded it in, so would it be worth my while getting a DS, there must be a reason they're so popular.

Dude. You shouldn't get anything for xmas. For CHRISTMAS, however, that looks pwnage. I just saw that same DS package in my local grocery store for cheaper, however. If I were you, I'd shop around at Amazon, Best Buy, Circuit City, or whatever else they have in Dublin. ;)

I'm going to ring up the customs office in the morning, I think they're gonna charge an extra 32% of tax onto it if I import from Japan, if that's the case I won't be buying.

Why are you importing from Japan? Doesn't Europe have that Zelda bundle?

DS is definetly a must buy for any gamer. It has a mother-f***ing huge game library and most are great.

No, you can barely even find a normal DS in Ireland! the wii is the same. Only other site I've seen the bundle on is amazon and they're charging much more for it.

The DS is a fine system... I got my fix from it because my little brother owns one.

I got to indulge in a little guilty pleasure on our family road trip to South Dakota by playing Pokemon Diamond. Still quite the addictive game.

Though I much prefer my PSP now. Jeanne D'Arc has kept me occupied for countless hours. I'm a real sucker for those turn base chess like games. Much more satisfying than the typical turn based games.

Are you not allowed to buy one from the US or are they region locked?

I just looked it up and they're not. Is there no site in the US that will ship one to you? Because that Zelda bundle is only $150 here in the US. Hell, if it comes down to it, I'd be willing to buy one and ship it to you if you send me the money. Seriously.

Most U.S. sites only ship to the U.S. unfortunately (best buy, circuit city etc.)

I'd reccomend you buy it, I have one (well I have gone through 2, I'm on the third one now but that is another story for another day). Here are some great games that are on it, New Super Mario Bros., Meteos, Advance Wars DS, The Phoenix wright series (3 games out so far) Warioware touched is fun. There are plenty more those are just the ones I own

I Have a ds but at the moment i want a PSP because it has games more like me but the DS has zelda, Final Fantasy and Mario so I stick with that. 42 All-Time Classics (Clubhouse Games) is good too.

well I just ordered that gold ds with zelda, $40 delivery from Japan brings it to $255 overall (or €173 where I live) which isn't that bad considering they were selling the console on its own for €160 here (before they sold out everywhere). Hopefully I won't get stung by Customs :(

I`d recommend getting a flash cart for your DS if you get one, M3 DS Simply, or R4DS are great. $30-50 + a micro SD card and you never have to buy games again.

UPS. It was actually the govermnent that charged me.

Yeah, but the chance of you getting charged depends on the curior...

UPS is one of the worse...

And DHL is the best...

I'm waiting for a new Golden Sun to come out, I guess I'll be waiting for the 49ers to win the Super Bowl while I am at it.
