A friend just made a very generous donation to me, but it's not showing up on my page.

Does it take a while to show up on my page, cause it's only showing the one previous donation I've had.

Was it made using a credit card or by PayPal? Credit card donations should show up on your page pretty quickly, but it can take up to a few days for PP donations to be displayed.
