Are their any official pc gamer nights or are they not announced in this thread. Because so far i havent seen any regular ones like on 360

We are working on getting people more people on the -SG- steam community. Hopefully we will be having a TF2 gamernight soon.

I would LOVE to see some more PC gamernights going on.

i am happy to host ones for L4D but we have goten to few people and the last TF2 one done by master jonboy we had less that 10 people so... if more people wanted to come that would make some of us try to host them more offen

There would be official ones, if any of the staff played on the PC regularly.

BUt this hasn't been the case so far.

HOWEVER, no one is stopping us, the PC community, from having a gamernight of our own. All we have to do is inform everyone thru the forums, and if the game is a steam game, then inform everyone thru the steam group, and voila, we have a gamernight on our hands.

Well, come to think of it, many have taken the initiative, but all failed, HARD.

Although us PC guys have each other on our steam lists, its just difficult getting some random server, for say, tf2, and going there to play.

There should be a sort of streamlined system for the PC side, and at least one of the staff should be a PC gamer.

Yeah, there was a civ4 gamernight the other week, i dont know how that went though. Im so up for gamernights, but have about 5 sgc guy's steam/xfire, so...

No mainly because my connection is probabally to bad to host. Although I could organise them but someone else would either host or find a good empty server.

I'll see what I can do about hosting some through the TF2 group.

um well both PMPB and MM have recently posted in the PC forums they may get behind a PC gamer night if anyone wants to try the thing with PC gaming is that you need to get a server to do anything on most games sooo but L4D doesn't need it so... but me and vexrog have tried but only 2 or 3 people come but if we have enough people ill be happy to do another one and master Jonboy has hosted a TF2 one and had 5 people show for a server that he had to pay for so that's why no one has done one recently

Civ4 should be workable as I think I've worked out the kinks that stopped the last gamenight.

Also, if we wanted to raise awareness of the PC community, we might be able to work with a writer to get a weekly feature such as "bizarre Gmod contraption of the week" or something along those lines.

If yall are serious this time I will come to practically any steam gamernight.

We could try to set something up this week...Friday night maybe?

Only catch is...you would have to agree to not swear on the server. (the clan runs a VERY tight ship) If you can agree to that, we're golden.

If you were timing the gamernights for the US, would it be possible to consider having it a little earlier so us Brits can join in?

Or should the EU set up it's own?

my net is fairly fast (8mbit) so if somone could teach me how to port forward i could host a game. apparently my router blocks tf2 server...

I have 20mbit internet and have already set up port forwarding on my router for CS:S. Doing it for TF2 should be a doddle.

Using the TF2 servers would be easier because we can control the population on those easier and play with bots if we need to fill the server out.
This weekend could be tricky with all the labor day parties I'll be hosting and going to. You guys are welcome to play on the server without me, just make sure you obey the rules. Not trying to be a dick...but we DO actively enforce the rules and I'd hate for someone to get kicked/banned while I'm not there.

I have off on Friday, so perhaps we can do it a little earlier in the night on Friday to include the euro's? Would that work?
