Apple have revamped their current iPod line, so the Touch, Nano, Classic and Shuffle have all been changed and improved. As well an announcing iTunes 9.

In a nutshell, the biggest features are:
Nano's have bigger screen and a camera
Touch is faster and available in up to 64GB's
Classic capacity is increased
New Shuffle colours

iTunes has once again been updated, with some new 'Genius' features as well as a re-design of the store.

I'm seriously tempted by the new iPod Touch, the faster speed and increased capacity might just be enough to make me fork out £230 to upgrade it the new version from my previous 1st Gen Touch. However I am disappointed the new Touch doesn't feature a camera like the Nano does.

Will anyone else be tempted into purchasing a new iPod?

It apparently now supports OpenGL so I assume the hardware has been upgraded, it should be as fast to use as the 3GS in terms of opening Apps, moving through the interface etc.

If only this had internet like the iPhone I'd buy it in a flash. Unfortunately that would also mean subscription fees too.

It has Wi-Fi, but not 3G so you can access the internet, provided your in a Wi-Fi zone.

I'm hooked. 3G would be a bonus but not essential. I'm gonna go google and decide whether to buy it. I'll probably get the 32gb version though.

More info on the speed increase: "The 32 GB and 64 GB iPod touch models are "50% faster" than previous models and will run OpenGL ES 2.0." according to MacRumours.

I got iTunes 9, and love the ability to juggle my iTouch apps on it. much easier than dragging one at a time on the iTouch itself.
However, while 64 GB is tempting, $400 is too much to not include a camera. Thanks Apple but I will stick with my 16GB 1st gen.

im probably gonna get the ipod touch 64gb as I've almost filled my 30gb ipod video and i dont really need a camera in my ipod. Also it does have a mic its just in the headphones so technically it does.

I have a feeling price drops is to cover up the release of the zune hd. Now they have similar pricing and they did it right before the release.

I'll prefer to wait it out . My brother got his 16 gig ipod touch just the day before the 32 gig was announced. The same when i got my 80 gig classic. Like a month later they discontinue it and only implement the 120 gig one.

I'm perfectly fine with the iPod I have. I've had the original 80 GB Black classic for a year and a half and it's served my needs 100%. The only thing that's going to make me buy another Apple product is...

A) An iPhone for when I get a new cell
or
B) If the Classic gets upgrades like the new Nano

About to place an order for the 32 GB iPod touch (I don't need 64gb hopefully). Just one last question first. How hard is it to type on an iPhone? Bearing in mind I'll be using it for quite a bit on these forums. Is it hard enough to consider getting a blackberry instead?
