Is there really a huge difference as far as gaming goes, is the difference between the two noticeable?

dont use it for fast fast reaction heavy games as you will suffer from image lag. i'd think it would make a more solid picture as you will have twice as many frames display. The only game i used 100hz(pal region)was fallout3 on ps3 as my view was constanly looking left or right, the games 30fps could not smoothly show the landscape rotating so fast, 100h gave me a more solid view and kept more of the detail. the only side effect was a shimmer effect on my cursor and text when moving a lot.
