Update: I am not sure why its not working. The entire time I was working on my computer I was wearing a static wrist band. The only time I touched open surfaces of the mobo and gpu are when a screw fell or something like that and even then I was wearing the wrist band. So I doubt I fried them or something.

I just built a pc and I cant see anything on my monitor. I checked the connections from the monitor to my pc and the internal connections also. I went through every page in the motherboard guide to make sure everything was connected the right way. There is also a red light on my sapphire 4850 gpu that stays on the entire time my pc is on. Every fan on my case is working the cpu fan is working the gpu fan is working. I had also taken apart everything and put it back together to make sure it was done right and it was. The only thing I see on my monitor is a power saving message and thats it. I have pressed every button on my keyboard along with clicked my mouse and nothing happens. The monitor also says no signal even though the vga cable and everything is connected the right way.

It seems like you get the boot screen. If that is the case then you probably might need to reinstall Your OS especially if it is a previously installed OS. Windows and others hate new MoBos and have to be specially prepared prior. If you already did that then check with other monitors and such.

well ive tried 2 different monitors and nothing works. And its a new pc so there isnt any os on it.

The lack of an OS could be your issue.

dose you mobo have an onbord GPU?

edit ill assume it was the one you posted about and dosnt did you try both sides of the GPU sometimes only one will be working outside of windows

or, im gonna assume you cant do this, try an old GPU that you know works

If your motherboard has 2 pci express slots, put the GPU into the other slot and try again.

You should at least be seeing the BIOS screen for your mobo.

Are you sure the monitor is set to the correct input channel?
Are you sure the cable is going to the correct "plug" ON the GPU itself?

side-note:
I am seeing people stating that they needed to flash the BIOS on the mobo to a newer version before it would recognize the Phenom II 955 CPU you have.

I forgot to plug in the 8pin on the mobo. I looked at my psu and didnt see an 8pin so i though i didnt need it. I didnt notice the two 4 pins that make up one 8 pin.

When I had a problem like that it was because that I have 2 moniter ports and one is for a grpahics card and the other onboard. I plugged it into the wrong one and tried to fix it for like 3 days
