Thanks to my flight, I was about 45 minutes late and the nerd migration was over and I found myself at the end of the loooooooooooooonnnnng line.
Perfect! I unfortunately didn’t get to play the game, but for about 2 hours I was standing in line near the booth exit. From here I could eavesdrop on those damned over-achievers that got here early and got to play.
I heard many of them complaining about always being short on ammo. This builds two things: suspense and the need to be accurate. One nerd said it seemed like your fight across the enemy base was more thrilling as you prayed for ammo. They all seemed like that had just jizzed their pants after they played. I’m jealous I never got that warm feeling.
A random passerby did tell us that as you played on the snow levels, Activision had fans blowing freezing air right at your testicles to increase the realism of fighting in the cold.* He boasted that, “it’s not easy to shoot a glock on a snow mobile after your testicles have retracted into your body.” This shrinkage on such a massive scale can be neither confirmed or denied.
