All right, after playing firefight with some members of the community I figured it may be fun to create a league based around it. However the purpose of the post is to generate interest and to see who else would actually participate. It will also serve as an explanation. The rules are simple. I create a series of threads (inspired by Shanghai's awesome duelist series) every week with a specific challenge. I will also create a team listing a sign up thread where we will list all the teams (it may also be good to talk to other SGC members and have an alternate or two).
The overall point is to compete with the community to see who can organize the best team and generate the most skill. An example:
Week 1:
Crater (Night)
Difficulty: legendary
skulls: Grunt birthday clown, cowbell.
Players have the option of playing the map as much as possible during the allotted time limit during the week. I will require a highest point total from a team captain. Just to be sure I will also double check using service record look up on Bungie.net.
Rules:
1. Time length
The teams would have to organize a night to play.
There will be a set amount of time to play the map (generally one week) and a team may play the map as many times as they want during that week with the mission criteria.
2. Entry
Non registered players on a team will void the "entry" so make sure every person in the game is a registered team.
A team can have 4 mains and two alts. A full team will consist of no more than 6 people. Players may only be a part of one team BUT can be alts on 2 other teams, however, a team must rotate an alt out every week.
Players can only play on two teams per week and must be rotated out IF AND ONLY IF they are registered as alts.
3. Misc
A file share is not required but may be requested. If I receive the file share video, team captains may request it from me to analyze and help to formulate strategy with their team for the next week.
A team will need to elect a team captain to handle managing aspects (such as when a team will play)
A team can elect a sub captain which will act as a captain if the captain of the team is either unable to manage aspects due to real life affairs. I will not be responsible for any coup d'états on the part of a team.
