Hey guys, I was looking at the Team Fortress 2 blog the other day, and I saw what looks like a tease for a new item in TF2 called the guard dog. When I saw it I emidiatly thought of the Engineer class and how cool it would be to essentially have a patrolling sentry gun. The concept looks pretty cool, but the details are scarse, so check it out and let me know what you guys think.

This was community made though, so it's probably just Valve messing with us because most of their team is currently busy with L4D 2. If it's not a joke though, I'm gonna nerdrage. D:

It's a community-made thing, but it may be sponsored by Valve. Like, Valve COULD release this as a community-made mod. I'm not sure if the dogs thing would work, but maybe the new maps.

Personally, i think a guard dog that guarded your sentries or something while you're away would be a good and balanced addition.

Yeah maybe. Well any new addition would be really cool. I just love how much they supported this game after its release.

I hope i'm wrong but they did say the solider was next up. I do want the engineer update but i have seen from other sources that it was a joke.

Would be cool if it got implemented, but this time i don't think so.

I thought that it seemed real cause of the patent thing. Then I realised it was community made. But thinking about it because of the patent thing Valve might be considering doing something like it.

All I am saying is, they wouldn't put it up on the blog if they weren't at least considering it. Maybe they will use it, probably not.
