I just asked my mum if i could part in extra life this year, as with everything she said no, and the excuse she gave was "i dont you u up for 24 hours, you have enough trouble waking up as it is"

Has some one else had a similar experience and has managed to convince their parents to let them take part? Can people suggest things i can say to my mum to convince her to let me take part?

Perhaps you could show her how much money was raised last year, show her the website of Extra Life, and show her some of the kids' testimonials and stuff.

If that doesn't work, suggest that you break it up into manageable segments.

Its not about gaming its about helping the kids. Maybe you can do 12h at 17:th and 12h at the make up day... Show your mom the Extra Life site and tell why you wanna take part.. I played doc's little audio thingy thats in every podcast for every one of my sponsors...
