I'm looking for some headphones for use with my 360. I'm ideally looking for some with surround sound (if possible) and below £50 (also if possible). I just wondered if anyone could give me any recommendations for good quality headphones for gaming that are good value for money?

Have you ever tried Turtle Beach headsets? They're usually pretty good quality.

Google either turtle beach or Tritton. They're both a bit pricey, but from what I hear they're worth it.

Are the turtle beach ear force X1s good? also do they have surround sound on them?

Actually I'm considering splashing out a bit more cash on something like the turtle beach ear force x41. Has anyone used these before? Are they as good as they look?

Astro A40s, TB X41s, and Triton AX Pros have all gotten good reviews from what I've seen, if you're looking for high end. If you can shell out for the X41s, I'd say go for it. The a40s are also really good if you can afford them because of the Mixamp the come with.

Do you think it would be worth it to spend lots of money on ones like the X41s which are specifically designed for the 360? I mean I don't want to spend loads of money on a pair to find them obsolete in a couple of years say if another console was released or if I bought a PS3.

Any actual headset you get will pretty much have to be designed for the 360 to work with its mic system, so regardless of what you pick it will be obsolete if the the Xbox has a different input.

I see the turtle beach X31's more than the X41's so i guess it's up to you if their worth the extra $100. I would definetley go for the turtle beach X31 (not the X1's)
