I saw this billboard today in Shreveport, Louisiana. There are a lot of movies filmed here, and this one is about some sort of alien takeover of Los Angeles; the name of the film escapes me at the moment. Snapped off a few photos of the billboard since I wasn't sure if the game had been announced yet or not. If not, then I'm surprised Insomniac would be announcing it here of all places.

Well we all know its in development, thats Inosmatic's 2 year cycle between Resistance and R&C. But whether or not this is the real, I'm on the fence about. I this a fake someone is gonna get sued for using the PS3 logo and stuff. I hoping its true becuase its got the statue of Liberty in it. Amazing set piece in the making.

But the things is, we DID NOT know that Resistance 3 was in development.

Insomniac do a great job with their game a year cycle, but i was half expecting a new IP from them instead of R3 - not complaining if its true though :) If it is, im not gonna see ANY media on the game and keep it a surprise =D

Yea Inosmatic have said they want to do something new, maybe after they finish off R&C or mabye they'll expand their studios, I'm hoping for the latter.

It's been almost about a year since the last Resistance game came out. And anyone with common sense knew that Insomiac was going to make another one. Probally expect to hear it get formally announced soon also.

well you've got to remember, they do have the North Carolina studio now. This could mean more insomniac games per year, maybe their doing R3. Or maybe they'll make a new IP, idk. But yeah, a billboard to announce a game like this...either some extremely talented spray-painters or a pretty indie move by insomniac.

It's not fake. The billboard is background advertising taken from the set of the upcoming film Battle: Los Angeles which will be coming out in theaters in 2011, so expect the game coming out that year.

I imagine the blacked out part below "Resistance 3" is a release date or tagline, painted over in paint that will be washed off when more is known about the game.

And Resistance 3 may not necessarily be out by then, but at a stage where seeing billboard ads for it is not uncommon.
