Most of you Soldiers have been working very hard in training, in preparation for the upcoming War. While loyalty to your Faction is good to see and while this War is obviously serious business - I want to draw your attention to a bigger battle going on this weekend.

This Saturday October 17th is the day that you can step up and be a real hero - The day of Extra Life. The battle against cancer is a fight that, right now, not everybody can win. This Saturday is your chance to do your part to help upgrade the weapons, we have to fight cancer.

For all the trophies and achievements that we proudly collect, nothing gives you the same reward as helping to save the life of an innocent - just knowing that you have may have made a difference, that you may have made things easier for a child in pain or eased the suffering of a family in crisis - that is a greater achievement than anything I have ever done in a game.

Knowing that you can help others, while having fun yourself (well until the last few grueling hours = ) I don't see how you can refuse to get involved. If you don't have the money, then you may have the time and if you don't have the time, then you may have the money - everyone can play their part and I urge you to do so - not for me, not even for the children and families that you can save - do it for yourself, it's time to step up and be a hero.

-----

To make sure that every Faction member is fully rested and prepared for the weekend ahead and to make sure every man, woman and Mutt has the chance to take part - I am ceasing hostilities between Factions from Midnight on Thursday 15th October (BST) until the morning of Tuesday the 20th October.

• All bombs planted during this time will be duds
• No kidnappings or negotiations can take place.
• Researchers are free to carry on researching but that is all.

Once Extra Life is all over then the War will return with a bang - Although the War preparations have gone on much longer than expected, I'm not just stringing you along - there will be a large scale comic related payoff for all of this and it is going to be bigger than even I first thought.

It is not a requirement, but I urge anyone that has been enjoying the SG War to sponsor me as much as you can easily afford. My sponsorship page can be easily found in my sig and all donations will be gladly received.

You may just find that sponsoring me for EL will have some other SG War related benefits as well :wink2: - the one thing I can definitely promise you that I will find the time to play some games with lots of you guys (or girls) on Saturday and will prioritise anyone that sponsors me for EL - in fact I'll give it a cast iron guarantee that if you sponsor me I will definitely set aside some time to play with you and if for any reason that doesn't happen Saturday then I'll make sure it does in the future.

Help me help others in the fight against cancer and I'll help you in the fight against endless waves of aliens - sounds like a good plan to me.

They'll all be playing Extra Life too, I assume.

Can we make propoganda and articles during this time?

Yes but no bombs from Saboteurs either.

endless waves of aliens

As in I'll come and play some Space Invaders/Halo/GoW etc - kill me some aliens - other worldly types, not illegal ones.
