View Full Version : Finally some Fallout 3 DLC on my PS3
kim andre 10-15-2009, 04:19 PM ah finally got all the DLC's for fallout 3, on my ps3,
I think it cinda killed the game to many people when they waited so long with the releases, what do you think?
Gamebler 10-15-2009, 05:58 PM It did for me(killed it).
Don't get me wrong. I absolutely love this game, it's my favorite game of 2008, and I played the hell out of it. I would've kept it and bought all the DLC, but it came too late. Hopefully Bethesda will not do this in future releases.
DeadpoolSkye 10-15-2009, 06:58 PM It didn't kill it for me. Any excuse to play this marvelous game is awesome. Hopefully, as Gamebler said, Bethesda doesn't release the DLC at different times, but it definitely didn't kill the game at all for me.
It was my GotY for 2008. Excellent.
Gamebler 10-15-2009, 07:41 PM Well. it didn't KILL IT, per se. I still love the game, and I plan to get the GOTY edition when the price drops so I can go back and play the extra content. The fact that all the DLC came so late kinda pissed me off.
MercenaryR56 10-15-2009, 07:42 PM Does anyone know if the GOTY edition picks up your old save file from the original game?
xbellx 10-16-2009, 03:42 PM Does anyone know if the GOTY edition picks up your old save file from the original game?
It should but I've heard that people have been having problems with the goty version not reading the old data. But from what I've seen it should read the saves
Joestar83 10-21-2009, 02:30 PM I'm so frustated with this game...
I've started playing it on PC, and had to make an emergency format... lost all my saves...17 hours lost
I fount the game at for ps3 for 12 euros at a local store, I was playing for 25 hours and I'm stuck with "the waters of life" glitch, screen freezes when it loads after leaving a room... I took it like a signal and put the game aside...
jammyjuju 10-26-2009, 02:09 PM i've got the GOTY edition and it picks up the data fine. The main problem though is when i first put the disk in the loading screens took forever and when it did load and i would get a ingame message eg. "A radio signal has been picked up" and my radio was on, ( i was seeing if threedog had anything new to say) his voice would stretch like he was slowed down. :/ also, it was very jumping. but when i loaded it up a second time no issues. weird huh?
bunny roses 10-27-2009, 06:54 PM Speaking of FALLOUT 3 DLC, i got the swamp one and broken steel. I only have one more too buy (i only have 15$) which one should i get?
DeadpoolSkye 10-28-2009, 09:11 PM In this order:
The Pitt
Operation: Anchorage
Mothership Zeta
In my opinion
TinyButDeadly 10-29-2009, 07:04 AM SO I might get 1 of these DLC's but which one do you think is the best?
DPS thinks it is the Pitt but what do the rest of you think.
Xgamr 10-29-2009, 11:03 AM broken steel is essential so you can continue after the main quest instead of reloading an old save. havent beat mothership zeta yet ill post my thoughts then
jammyjuju 10-29-2009, 04:36 PM I don't know if this is the same for the US store but on the UK store the DLC are around £9 each. There are 5 DLC therefore if you buy all of them you are playing £45, however, overall you have paid even more because you have brought the original disc so its around £65 if you brought the game at £20. So if the DLC cost £45 why are they selling the GOTY edition at only £29.99. ???
I traded my original copy in and got £10 for it so in the end i only ended up paying £19.99 for the game and 5 DLC's. So why, oh why, have they priced it the way they have, im suprised they didn't put the GOTY up to £55 at least. I understand that some people may only buy one dlc but at the price of £20 and getting all 5 i'm surprised anyone is downloading them. Also, this has been said before but DLC should be cheaper than hard copies but they aren't, because of hosting prices or something like that. God this world is messed up.
End of Rant :lipssealed:
TheStonedSheep 10-29-2009, 04:41 PM It is to little to late, I've moved on from Fallout 3 and I'm not coming back, I've lost way to much of my life playing that game already.
DeadpoolSkye 10-29-2009, 05:53 PM SO I might get 1 of these DLC's but which one do you think is the best?
DPS thinks it is the Pitt but what do the rest of you think.
Well that was because he already bought Broken Steel and Point lookout. My personal opinion is that Broken Steel is a must. You should not even attempt to purchase any DLC before it (you can, but you'll regret it). You should just buy it anyway, as it continues the story beyond the final mission (and when you beat the final mission of Broken Steel, you can keep playing).
So, in this order for all 5:
Broken Steel
The Pitt
Point Lookout
Op: Anchorage
Mothership Zeta
