ok here's the thing i'm what you call a @$$ hole. the only reason i play shooting and fighting games is to get my anger and blood pressure down. and in my rage i say a lot of things, things that might get me band from ps3 or xbox (don't own) and to me that sucks. i cant stand this p.c world where you cant say anything. now i'm not saying go play a game and if you hear some that sounds gay and call him a f##. but when i say things like c#)k sucker. c)Ot licker or just the basic stuff like the f word and s word there's some one offended and it drives me nuts.

i want a diffrent section on online where we can cuss, rage, and just well say what we want. some one is offended guess what you don't belong there you have a kid next to you guess what you don't belong in there. and a signed agreement saying you can't sue. just a online room for @$$ holes. You know every time you play online you hear them. now imagine them off your game play. there in there own world, and you can be in yours.

now i know i'm going to get crap for this. but damn i needed to get this off my chest i cant stand this p.c world. where the only people that can say what they think or feel have to be comedians or in a movie. hell start it now i'm wet back, white trash and a drity whop 3dub baby live it up.

Learn some f*cking grammar. I'm gonna buy you a godd@mn Speak And Spell for your next f*cking birthday. Jesus Christ.

The whole swearing-thing is overrated, really. There's tastefully swearing to add color to your vocabulary, then there's this. But if your gaming experience hinges on being able to throw out crude and/or racial epithets, man, you need a new hobby. Or just get on XBLA - you'd fit right in with all the other 13-year-old kids.

you own a PS3? Shame you don't have your gamertag down there otherwise i'ld be able to block you for the near future. You honestly don't see why being called a c**k sucker might be seen as offensive? Really? Your not a kid your just an idiot, we don't need a section on the PSN/XBL for swearing that's called being banned, look at the rules for heck anything and you'll see no swearing come up at least ounce so it's not just online gaming or being PC it's how the world views swearing.

Nobody likes being sworn at, i'm sure you don't so why you seem to think it should be allowed in online gaming is sheer stupidity.

I know right? Don't you just hate it when you call someone a ****ing cocksucker and then for some obscure reason they get offended?

that's why we have a section on the PSN to report people. So douchebags who swear all the time can't. Jizzy if sony were to make this it would just end up with so much swear induced hate that not even you would be able to go on there without being offended, i'm sure there's people who can conjour up worst insults filled with swear words besides swearing is the most dumbest and primitive of all human nature there's a reason nobody likes people who swear and use discrimitive words becasue the only people who use them are jerks who go around treating others like crap. Also becasue the more you use them the least intelligent you likely to be.

Well the problem is that you can't track what someone is saying so, no there will never be a "cussing" section. Honestly i'm fine with people cussing but cussing directed at other people in a hurtful way is un-neccessary. There is a time and place for that but when someone beats you in a video game there is no reason to why you should cuss them out and call them garbage when you got beaten fair and square.

I see one problem: people are vain. Most people won't admit they are a$$ holes. In other words, you could go in to your room and scream at yourself, but what fun is that?

christ, some people need to grow a backbone and man up - if you can't take being called a cocksucker by some random gamer that will never see you in real life, then how could you ever survive in the world? or would you prefer to live in a cotton padded cocoon with rainbows and unicorns? IMO unless it is truly insulting, i.e hardcore racism then you have to accept it as part of life.

I don't care if people curse in the game for dieing but people that start to call each other names is so annoying. it usually escalates to people just screaming... THANK GOD FOR THE MUTE BUTTON!

I generally don't mind swearing, but it's very dependent on the situation.

Just suffered a humiliating defeat, fine, a quick f-bomb is okay.

Waiting in the lobby for the match to begin spewing hate and filth, bragging, not about your gaming skills, but about the sleeping habits of your fellow gamers' mothers - not okay.

Also MW2 has reminded me of something that truly irritates me, the fact that voice chat doesn't have a "Your voice must be this low to enter" criteria. I know it's naive to think that people in their early teens won't play a 18 certificate game, but hearing those squeaky little voices shouting out crap constantly is just annoying.

Yea a swearing area would be great, so would a noise making area and a playing music through your headset area, perhaps they could be consolidated into one?

I could see how you could want/need a "swearing" room for those who need to sporadically throw out an F-bomb from time to time... that being said,
I prefer to play on non-swearing servers (PC online multilpay) only.

I've played on both for years, and I find the non-swearing servers to be filled with more "serious" players. There's much more strategy spoken and it's always a more serious approach to the game.
I would recommend anyone who has the ability to try to play on a non-swearing server once to see for yourself...it's a VERY different feel at first, and I will admit it's not for everyone cause it takes some self control, but once you get used to it, it's actually more enjoyable.

There should be separation by ages or something, normally kids are the ones that curse a lot and say stupid racial remarks; thas one of the reasons i am not in xbla anymore; us adults behave like adults whor are having fun.

I completely disagree, we shouldn't be segregated by age, all the responsible underage gamers will be punished because of others actions. I never shout, swear heavily or say racial slurs, does that mean that because of my age I should just be thrown in with the rest of them?

I swear a lot. I could make a sailor blush. However I never put down my team, nor do I use words online that marginalize sections of our society. I also usually have my mic off when I do so. If I play with friends, I put my mic on and keep to the conversation(but I still let some fly).

PSN isn't going to ban you for cursing, nor should they. I don't want to hear what most strangers have to say, so I mute them. Pretty much as soon as I get into a lobby, I just go down the list and mute people. Way too many people use their mics.
