As you just herd, demos are up for download for anytime.
But what they didn`t tell you is this is for just thanksgiving and Christmas time.
And as of Nov, 16 the black wiimote controller was release.

Why in the hell would you only make it so that its only Christmas. That makes no sense. Well, it makes a little sense because between Thanksgiving and Christmas is probably when they make the most money, but at least keep a X-Box Live type system up for the future.

I went to the Wii Shop Channel and it said for Wiiware, didn't say anything about disc games.

They have DO have demos for certain DS games on the Nintendo Channel though, and have for a while, so...

One question. Does Nintendo really sound stupider everytime someone opens their mouth? Also I realize stupider isn't a word. I had to make it up especially for Nintendo.

Disc demos would get them so much more sales... Some Wii titles that get mediocre reviews (take Deadly Creatures for instance,) I'd really like to play first to see whether or not I like it. I don't always agree with critics, so why doesn't Nintendo try to convince me themselves? It will only make them more money.

unfortunly kbnigon nintendo won't do that, i don't know why they don't put up disc based demos becasue i'm sure demos contributes a lot to Sony/steam/microsoft

Bullcrap. The feature was just launched recently for WiiWare demos, and is going to stay as a permanent feature for certain games. In fact, it's not even really a "feature", it's a separate title altogether, just like iPhone apps that have "Lite" or "Demo" versions.

Unless you can cite a reliable source, I have no reason to believe this.

I didn't play a Wii before I got mine, But i really enjoy playing it. My Mum has bought a couple of shovelware games in the past. But Carnival Games is great fun! I Think the demos would probably sell a few more wiiware titles, so it is a great marketing campaign (apart from the time scale)

Cant agree about the demo thing.... after all, E3 was where that demo happened.... 2 hour lines to try the system followed by sellouts everywhere.

However, as much as I would encourage demos for the Wii (at the very least, early response might make companies realize shovelware doesn't sell... and give actually good games a chance to be seen over the sea of Ubisoft Imaginze and it's ilk), Nintendo has a very big issue to get past first.... storage space. A single demo could easily take half of it, and until Nintendo can do something better then "well, we will let you download to an SD card and COPY to the memory only when you play, in essence swapping games like you used to carts in the old days," demos for disc based games are simply out of the download question.

Now if they want to offer a service for registering your system where you get a disc in the mail every 2 months or something... or even like they did with Brawl in which games come with timed demos on the disc, they CAN do that.

I'm not sure that I like the term 'Casual Gamer'. Just cos I can only manage several hours a week gaming doesn't make my opinions less valuable. In fact I was probably playing games before most people on this site were born. :shocked:

I can't play more that 1 hour a week but that doesn't make me a casual gamer. If i'm honest the term 'casual gamer' has been made up by gamers to make themselves feel more important. They wouldn't want their grans being classed as a gamer. :lol:

I would personally define just about any game that lets you save wherever you want as casual... since you can play for hours, or for 5 minutes, and still make progress.

It has checkpoints often enough to be casual too so they can shove it.

NO DISC GAMES AT ALL! for other gamers. the only way now to get the free demos is you have someone on your wii friends list and ask them to send you the stuff. And as for Diortemno,sorry no beta as of i know right now.

Ploogle, they had send a mail to everyone`s wii boards about ENDING the wiiware demo service by the end of the month. so this is my way of saying "Bullcrap" to you.
