Anyone who’s a true gamer and owns a Wii (I know, I know, those two things would seem to contradict each other) has been anxiously looking forward to Super Smash Bros Brawl. This is the one game that will make all of the hardships and ridicule we fellow Wii owners have had to endure, all worthwhile (I hope).

Although the delay until next year (http://sarcasticgamer.com/wp/index.php/2007/12/79-ssbb-delayed-wii-fanboys-almost-lose-it.html) really sucks, one good thing has come from it. Three more months of daily updates from Nintendo’s official Smash Bros website (http://www.smashbros.com/)! While most of these updates are pretty ho-hum, there are those few that remind us of just how epic this game is shaping up to be. The most epic feature of all has easily got to be the amazingly large cast of characters.

Find out who made it and who didn’t but will be thrown in later, after the jump!

It all started back at E3 2006 when Nintendo released probably their most famous trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u9NoP2QLeTo&feature=related) of all time. Not only did it introduce new characters such as Pit and Wario, but it rocked the video game world with the introduction of Solid Snake from Metal Gear Solid to the Super Smash Bros world.

Ever since then, Nintendo has done nothing but continue to add new playable characters (one of the biggest being Sonic) to the already large list of long-time favorites. It’s even been rumored that when it’s all said and done that the list of playable characters will be near the 50 mark.

Now that really is epic…and the reason why it has been placed at #55 on the Sarcastic Gamer’s Top 100 Gaming Moments of 2007.

It's one of the main reasons for even owning a Wii.

I'm definitely looking forward to this one!! Just wish they'd release fire emblem in the UK too then i'd actually have about three reasons to own a Wii!! currently just super mario galaxy i'm afraid!! Zelda has kinda faded away into the past! Fire Emblem is an awesome series i don't understand why we're left waiting! It's easy for them to stick all these bullshit party games in every territory but something that a proper gamer like myself could appreciate and it's nowhere to be seen!!

Damn you nintendo!! you'll lose me and many other loyal fans if you don't get your arse in gear!

When this game finally comes out I'll be getting a Wii for sure!

They better add Mewtwo to the character list!!

I was kinda hoping they would work in the djinni system in Golden Sun somehow. Or maybe some of the top summons, like Iris. Also, Felix or Issac with a Sol Blade would be very workable. Jump in if you know what I'm talking about.
