The fierce battle has gone on for more than two years now, and this year gamers and mediajunkies alike grew increasingly tired of it. A slew of corporations have backed one side or the other, hoping to push their choice of tiny blue laser to the top, and rake in the cash over their opponents. I tried to do the same with my new VolkovCD format, but unfortunately the experiment flopped.

There is a clear winner according to that fancy bar graph, but not to worry. It’s just made up. Like Santa Claus or fair tax system. No one really knows who is winning the war, but the gaming communities can all sure as hell quote numbers from the internet. Every month its like one long forum post of bickering between two different disc, and it just not worth it.

I propose we smash the two formats together, to form Blu-Def. It could be hard at first, and we’d definitely need congressional approval. But it’s possible people. Get to work.

Yup. I really never cared who won - I just want it to be F***ING OVER ALREADY!!

I do of course have a personal preference (HD-DVD, simply because it's cheaper), but I really, really, really, just don't give a f**k anymore.

Great graph, Matt. Pity your VolkovCD wasn't available in Poland; I would've bought it for sure.

Well I am rooting for blu-ray simply because I already have a ps3.

I have both because I can't NOT have both games systems. There is so little difference between them that I just want it over!

Me and my family are not going to waste money on this until the war is over. I couldn't see a reason to invest money in soemthign that might not be here in 3 years. It's just like all the people that had Beta machines. They got f@#K up the A$$.

I hate buying DVDs right now because I know that I will want them High Def. I thought there would be a clear cut winner by now but the war keeps going on and on. Maybe one will have a knockout blow by years end or someone will come out with a cheap cross format player. Until then I'll just rent the movies.
