Yes. I wouldnt have a PSP if it wasnt for all the emulaton, ebook, shoutcast etc etc fabness that CFW brings. Without CFW it would be little more than a paperweight, with it I would love it more than my DS if it wasnt for that godawful screen :(

I don't have a psp, but if I did, it would probably be running on homebrewed firmware.

Sadly, I am 3.0. Meaning until Sony gives in, no homebrew for me. Let's just hope some idiot doesn't post something that makes this thread illegal. >_> (i.e. ROMs, etc.)

i have a psp but dont feel the need to use homebrew. my phone covers all my emulator needs. If i get a slim this year then i will most probably try homebrew out.

That's the thing... PSP Slim 3.0 firmware doesn't support homebrew.

I just got a compiler that'll let me write my own DS homebrew...so I'm not going to get a PSP anytime soon. :P

None of them "support" homebrew, they have to be hacked/exploited. And the Slim can be as well. Which makes this a great time to say something...

PLEASE NO HOW-TO'S OR LINKS TO HACKING/CRACKING/MODDING/COPYING/ETC...

Ahhh, I feel better now.

Lol, I know a site that recently got shut down for that... But that's because the Admins had done it as well. You guys are legally protected if another user does it, but that won't stop someone from taking legal action... But seriously guys, heed his word.

Custom firmwares are illegally anywhere. Your not allowed to install unauthorized software to any psp regardless of what region you live in. Custom firmware and piracy aren't the same.

No my psp slim is not running on custom firmware i have emulators on pc plus i have a super smartjoy adapter so i can use a snes controller on my pc.

The cost of psp games are low anyway i paid £5.00 each for both gta games everybody's golf was £4.00 in fact most games i have for psp were less than £10.00 :)

But i am tempted by all the ps1 games homebrew offers like resident evil 3 and final fantasy 7 so i may look into getting custom firmware.

Sadly there is no poll option for PSP owners familiar with homebrew that have opted to stay legit.

Exactly what I was thinking. In the end, I just didn't pick an option. *Shrug*

No homebrew fer me ... couple of my m8's used to brag about how much better their PSP's were than mine because they had homebrewed and emulated stuff on there.
Never really impressed me much and regardless within a few months both their systems had bricked so the cost:benefit ratio doesn't really endear me to homebrew either :)

*What the hell?! How's this back up in the "latest posts"! It's days old!

When someone votes in a poll, it automatically puts it back at the top.
