I'm deciding if I should spend the money on a psp. Are there many good games? Is it worth the price? I have a ds fat but I think I migt want to upgrade to the new psp slim.

Q: Are there many good games?
A: Depends on the genre you're into. Look it up on ign, at least they get payed to tell which games are good...

Q: Is it worth the price?
A: Depends. Will you be using it solely to game? Will you play it a lot? Will you watch movies on it? Will you listen to music with it? Will you downgrade it?

In my opinion there are many good games and it is worth the price, but we can't help you decide. Everyone's different.
I suggest you borrow one from a friend, and try it. If the experience is okay, you buy it. Else, stick to your ds.

no, don't but it. DS is better it would be a downgrade not an upgrade.

Because you're word is absolute truth, right?

OP if you are looking for more adult games... than the PSP is probably for you. DS just feels too kiddy to me...

There are some alright games on it, and hopefully we will get our hands on crisis core here in england, and i shall be purchasing a psp for that if nothing else, and the movies aren't too bad either, if you don't have a portable dvd player or a video ipod, then its a good buy for that too.

However, i guess as others said, you need to go find out what games are on it, and if any of those games are worth it for you.

and my god, does anyone else have trouble reading veilx post without feeling sick? what is he saying? 'wauzzant'? is that 'was not' made stupid? urgh, seriously, go to school pleeeeease

also, Griffin999, stop being an everything but sony fanboi, and its spelt 'friend', and 'choose'.... you guys aren't really giving us gamers a good name...

I've been asking myself the same question and tbh its looking like it may be a good purchase. Their's games like rachet and clank, god of war (soon), gta, monster hunter, worms open warfare 2, puzzle quest, final fantasy and their's a load of old ps1 games to rediscover and play again on the move. I used to play my ps2 quite a lot but ever since i got my 360 its pretty much been gathering dust and if i got a psp i will be able to actually play some games that i missed out on like god of war which i have played. Also as its portable i would be able to play it on the train as i do quite a bit of travelling. They are getting cheap now as well and the old ones are definately much cheaper. But tbh its down to u. If you want to play more console like games then get a psp, if you want to play more nintendo games get a wii.
