If only I had read this suggestion earlier. I want to get Lono a Clown Horn now... maybe not for a whole show, because I think he would likely curl up and die from lack of speaking, but if we did a segment where all he could do is honk his horn... that would be hysterical.

Hey guys I wanted to comment on the segment of the show about not being able to play your Arcade games when disconnected from Live.

This has been around since before the update. I don't know exactly when it started but I first noticed it after my RROD sendback. I have heard that when you FIRST initialize a 360 with its hard drive, and connect to Live, the serial number of the Box and the serial number of the drive are tied to your account. That way it knows if you are trying to play on your Xbox, or if you've copied files (like a game) to a friends via a memory card. When you get the RROD, more often than not (well in my case) they send you a new box. When you plug your HDD into it, it reads it as putting it in a new box and won't let you play without being tied to Live for verification.

There may be a way to re-tie Live to your new box (like the old account recovery on original Xbox Live) but I'm not sure. Its BS that it has to be this way, but I can see why they do it.

And as for Doc's "accidental" saving of a movie... let's just say that somehow I managed to "acquire" the Aqua Teen movie for over a year... I actually didn't know why but that must be it. It finally got deleted though (after the update....hmm.....maybe you ARE right)

Like the hilarity especially martini time, and i want ask, can someone make people a what they say that you dont know about like Best Buy, Gamestop. Sorry for double-posting but I just now saw this post.

Consoles 1-9 were warranty exchanges. Between 9 & 10, I got a raise at work so when number 9 crapped out via update, I still got it exchanged from the extended warranty and spoiled myself by buying an Elite this past December.

Yeah I guess I'm devoted--Xbox 360 may have its faults but no one's perfect.

A great episode as usual. The funniest Martini time ever! The new "divider" bits (that separate topics of conversation) are entertaining.

Hey guys, another great show, congrats, but if I could point out a few things ...

1) On the HD DVD front, Toshiba is the major player. Microsoft supports the format, the HD add-on was MS approved, but it was basically a Toshiba product. The fact is MS isn't one of the major guns pushing it like some people think. MS's interest lies in HD DVD's use of the HDi technology they've created. This isn't a format war battle between Sony and MS. It's between Sony and Toshiba.

2) The reason you can't access XBL arcade titles or other pieces of DLC when you're not online is likely because of RROD. When you sent away your DOA system and got a new refurb back, you lost all that verification information that was attached to your first system - the original you DL'ed everything to. So now with the new 360 (and your old hard drive) every time you launch an "old" piece of DLC, it has to verify you own it and the only way to do that is to be online with Live. People have been miffed about this for some time and I assume this is what you're all talking about.

The only way around it is to reestablish that verification bound - i.e., download every piece of DLC all over again to your new system and then you can use those pieces of DLC offline. If you buy something this weekend and then try to play it offline on Monday - on the same 360 that DL'ed it - it should work because the required verification infomation is there because it's the original system of DL. This is of course unless things have changed that I'm not aware of.

You could have released it now and on the note of 360's my brothers got the red rings of death but he never actually purchased the arcade games due to uni work and being with his gf and probably playing on wii sports (boxing) but also with that note, do the refurbished 360's refinedsugar talked about actually still contain the same hard drive the prenium bundle came with when you buy it or do they just wipe it clean. I want a 360 but cant afford so i'll wait until august unless I head for a PS3 because it's got some games I really like on there like Reistance and the 2 new Final Fantasy Games coming out for it. I mean do I really want to waste about £300 on a PS3 or £320 on a 360 Elite? The reason why I going with Elite is due to it's massive hard drive and the fact that it's probably more stable than the Prenium's. But also the fact that I can link it up to my laptop's OS (Vista unfortunaly) and then use it as a wireless Media Center so my parents can watch DVD's from this while I'm playing games :D

Take a chill pill. It's not like they can just finish it, and slap it into the computer. Editing takes a long time, uploading takes a long time, getting it up on itunes takes a little while also. I'm certain they'd LOVE to have it out when you guys want it out. But it's simply no possible. And whining will never change that.
