I just had my first hands on experience with the Wii and I gotta say I've never had so much fun losing. We lost a doubles Wii tennis match 3 games to 1 but we were laughing and having such a good time that I didn't even care..... gotta get one now!

Actually, that isn't true at all. Zelda is very good, as is Scarface and The Godfather. Driving games on Wii are excellent as well.

Wii Sports is a really great demo that shows the tip of the iceberg as far as the potential of the system. This bodes well for future tennis, driving, football, baseball, golf, etc. games. There isn't another system with the playability potential of the Wii in this regard. While that is very subjective, all one has to do is throw each console into the mix at a party and see which one is most popular. I am sure I don't have to tell you what empirical evidence shows on that one.

I will say that the shooter games seem to have somewhat of a learning curve with the Wiimote. However, most of those games are so unoriginal and played out that they aren't even worth a second look anyway.

Well, I would say enjoy it all, but I'll have to refrain. Enjoy it for the first month and then let the dust collect : \ I'm afraid that's the deal with the Wii right now...

If you don't already have it for the Gamecube, Resident Evil 4 is fantastic on the Wii. I much prefer the Wiimote aiming to the analogue stick options; headshots come really easily now, even from ridiculous distances.

Went to my cousins house last weekend and I agree I had the best one of the best times ever. It was the strangest experience in my gaming life I kept on looking for my precious analog stick for aim.

You forgot Metroid Prime... 1, 2, and 3 (You may need a controller/memory card for 1 and 2 if you didnt have a cube, but concidering last time I checked, 1 was $5 or so....)
