Honestly, after reading some of the info on it I've got some major doubts....

Dark Knight hero class. From what I understand it's going to use materials that you have to gather for the abilities. The only way I see this being viable is if you collect it's in the same manner as a warlock collects shards. Otherwise you'll be spending half your time collecting crap instead of having fun.

Inscription = wtf. Where the hell is Fletching?? Why are Bows, Staves and Arrows still being over looked?

No mid level content. Again.... wtf. WoW is quickly going to become a high level only game unless they add new or revamp the old content. They DID say that they're looking into hero level content for the mid level instances and raising gained XP from 1-60. That will help alot if implemented. As is right now though, it's tough to get a PUG for ZF going. If they don't fix the system soon it's going to be damn near impossible.

No new races/classes- So let me get this straight I'm paying 39.99 for a couple of new zones.... a few new instances... and new profession. It is just me or does this sound more like a major patch then a expansion pack?

Yes I know that it's only been 3 days since they announced it, yes I know (hope) they will be adding more. Right now though this sounds like a rip off though. I so hope that I can come back to this thread in 6 months and say ZOMFG I was wrong!! But right now it doesn't look to promising.

WoW is a full time job to keep up with all the goodies.
I just don't have enough time to dedicate to it.

I got The Burning Crusade back in january, but I doubt I'll get this one tbh.

This sh!t never ends.
Lots of great games releasing soon, going to pick up some of those instead.

You could always invite gold farmers, sometimes they are the only players around. Of course, most will stab you in the back in two seconds when something blue or better drops. lol

You just have to break the WoW habit. Don't have illusions like I did that one day the game is going to get better. Blizzard usually does the wrong thing, that was my experience after two and a half years of the game, yet there are millions of players who eat it all up with a spoon. So, why should Blizzard do any better, right?

Reminds me of UO ;) Chop wood, kill some chicken, and voila: arrows!

But since I'm not playing a class that would benefit from bows or arrows I'm happy with the insription profession. Sounds really like you could get some interesting combinations out of it.

I don't get the problem? WoW already has more than enough Mid-Lvl content. But once you hit the LvlCap there is not much to do exept for raiding, raiding and farming so you can afford the raiding. Oh and If you're into it theres always PVP.
So whats wrong with bringing new content for the new LvlCap? I don't really want to roll a new char just to expirience some new Mid-Lvl content.

As far as I remember there has never been new zones, new professions and a new class introduced through a patch ;)
And since Northrend is said to be as big as the Outlands this really has to be one bad ass patch ;)

Again, I'm craving for the addon and questing up my char to Lvl 80. I probably will quit again after a while after I hit 80 but until then I have my fun.

I tend to re-roll a lot and I'm bored with the same content over and over and over. Mid level content would do a lot to boost the population in the lower level areas. This isn't just my complaint, it was actually brought several time at Blizzcon. They have said they're looking into which I'm content with for now I suppose.

Yeah, that was more exaggeration then fact :P

That's why I like WoW. In 2.5 years I've quit WoW and come back like 4 times. If you look at gaming as "I have to be the best" then I can see your point. I've never run MC, NAXX, BWL, or Kara. Do I care? Nope. I have more fun saying "hey what's over there?" then thinking ZOMG I NEEDZ TEH EPIXXXXX!!!

Not that there's anything wrong with being hardcore. It's just not my play style anymore and I'm happy about that because games aren't about being the best for me now, they're about having fun.

For me it's not so much about being the best and getting all the epix.
When I play a game I just want to know, see and play all there is.

That's not really possible with WoW unless you make it a full time job.
That's the main reason I quit, just not enough time...

To each his own I suppose. I've got the "I'll get there when I get there" mentality. 3k to my epic flying mount and I'm enjoying every minute of it :)

Don't forget new dances!

Plus there will be new Hairstyles. Never underestimate the power of hairstyles. My wife made more money in SWG by changing peoples hairstyles than me killing the 1000. rancor lair.

or people paying crazy sums just for some rare hair color dyes in UO.
