Any fellow gamers into comics too? I've been a huge comics fan my whole life. My current favorites are 100 Bullets (hence Lono), Walking Dead, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Ultimates, Planetary, Runaways and Astonishing X-Men... among others.

What I'm currently reading: Absolute New Frontier. Fraking great oversized hard cover!

Get the Walking Dead Hard covers and ANYTHING by Robert Kirkman, shit is amazing. He also did the whole Marvel Zombies story, so you know that's magic. Also I got into the Astonishing X-Men series, because the guy who made Firefly and Buffy was handling the stories, and believe it or not, he did a damn good job to me so far. I picked up the huge Darkness book that came out after playing the game cause Estacado was just so damn cool. But I have like a Massive Old School X-Men database from when my mother used to collect them during the 90's. She had em all man, from Spawn 0 and to when Wolverine got his adamantium pulled by Magneto, AND she had the black and white variant cover....to bad me and my brother destroyed the collection....needless to say we got our asses kicked.

I am not a huge comic book person, but am slowly getting into it. I was into it pretty big when I was a kid (about 20 years ago) and sort of let it go until the past year; the Civil War story arc sort of got me back into it and I am starting to explore some of the other, non-mainstream comic options... any recommendations from you guys (aside from what has been mentioned already)?

I try and read em when I see something interesting, but since I dont have the time, or a good comic shop nearby, I usually just get the Hard Cover collections of a series. Yea I know, thats the pussy way. ANYWAY if anyone is a Batman fan, Get the Dark Knight Returns. When you have a 50 year old Batman wupping Supermans ass you KNOW shit just got real.

Yea I needed that Hot Fuzz/ Bad Boys 2 reference in there when I talk about Batman.
