In this era, game developers are now publishing novels that go along with their games. I understand the need for some people to understand the back story, like ME: Revelations. But I think the soon Sextet of Halo Jesus novels is pushing it. Anybody want to sound off on what they think?

Have read all of the Halo novels and a couple really sucked. It really depends on the author. Eric Nyland was a genius and his three Halo books where awesome. The other three... not so good.
I think that there are enough Halo (jesus) fans out there to warrant writing books which further the universe.

I'm reading the Hellgate London book, only because I found it. It looked like a pretty good game that I might have wanted to play until I saw the review and seen that it was a broken game. So far the book is pretty enjoyable. I guess as long as they have good authors who want to write the books, and can put the creator's vision in writing, they will be good. Sometimes though you get people who want to write for a franchise just to cash in on it which is what makes them suck.

I don't read the books unless I fall in love the game's story or if some recomends it.

I though there were only the four. What are the other ones?
