Ladies and Gentlemen boys and girls children of all ages, Microsoft has bent to speculation and demand. The Xbox 360 will drop the price of the Premium and the Elite packages by $50 in the North American market. The Core package will drop as well but only by $20. This news is confirmed by the BBC (trust the redcoats I will), and will begin August 8th which is tomorrow.

Actually, this is starting to look like a PS3 style "price drop" because apparently Microsoft is introducing a new premium model with a 65 mn chip that is cooler along with Hdmi port. It looks like that they will introduce the new model in late august or early september. Perhaps Halo 3 in 1080p? You heard it here first.

Not to toot my own horn, but I did predict this in our second podcast... So far I am two for two in my predictions.

my first one was that the ps3 price drop wasn't a price drop at all but an introduction of a higher gb model and a sell off of the lowe gb model...
