What are your fondest memories from the retro consoles?
I remember the first game I ever got was Power Soccer for the PS1 and I loved it, I also remember my Gameboy Color with great fondness, so what were your favourite retro consoles/fondest memories of retro consoles?

Playing Digimon World 2 on the PS1 with my brothers. That game was awesome. So awesome in fact that last year we borrowed our old roommates PS1 and drove to another state looking for a EB games that still sold PS1 games. We finally found one and played the game all Summer :)

Getting my SNES, as it was my first console.

Playing Mario Kart with my Bro.

First time playing KOTOR.

8 Player Halo games between mine and my mates flat across the hall.

Same Here, Dmatix. I got a Genesis fo my 6th B-day along with a packed in copy of Sonic 2, and never looked back. My mom even made me a Sonic cake for that same birthday.

Which is why Sega's actions of late make me cry myself to sleep at night sometimes.

I never played the first one. Was it like the second? I played the 3rd and 4th one but didn't like them as much. I wanna play the DS one. I really wish they would make a digimon game just like the Pokémon rpgs.

When I was about five or six my parents bought a NES and as a family we would take turns playing Excitebike. The build your own track option blew my young unformed mind. Damn, that was still in the 1980s too... I need a drink.

I must say when i think of my favorite games when i was younger, i immediately think of Pokemon: Blue for the Game Boy Color. It's the game that got me INTO gaming.

I got a Gameboy Color and Pokemon blue for my 8th birthday. I think i played it nonstop for about 2 years lol. I beat it farther than anyone I've met without using Red or Yellow for trading. Got to the point where once i started a game and beat the elite four in one day....no joke. I had a guide book to tell me all it's secrets. I used that stupid little glitch where you could get unlimited items ALL the time, but I also got a Charizard to level 100 completely by training it at the elite four.

They game as well as Final Fantasy 10 are my most played games in my collection. I haven't touched pokemon in 2 years, and I beat FFX so badly I don't even care anymore. So I'm really kinda hooked on GH3 and Kingdom Heart 2 right now. I've completely beaten KH2 though. So it's dieing for me too. Still a fun game.

GH3 is just addicting XD

Just keeping the PS2 on all day and doing a run through of Spyro and Crash Bandicoot 2 stick out the most...we had to keep the PS2 on because we had no way of saving it, thus making us have to start from the beginning. I miss those days...

My brother and I used to play this one game on the SNES with my dad(can't remember what it was called). It was a two player space game. You had a ship and would blow up asteroids and collect the bombs. However, there were these ships that would fly around and collect the bombs too. They would then proceed to take the bombs and deposit them into the mouth of this weird face in the middle of frickin nowhere. Then, it would come alive and try and eat you. The bombs you collected earlier were used to blow him up. It was awesome. The only game my dad would play with us on a regular basis. Ah, good times... Then my damn SNES broke. My brother and I cried.
