I know it's probably too early to be talking about this (as it'll be coming in May) but what do you want to see in the Spring Dashboard Update? I know that there are plenty of things I want to see:

Multi-way chat
More responsive Dashboard (less pauses)
Reforming the Reputation System
Clan Support/Clan Blade
Internet Browser (won't happen though)
Expanded Inside Xbox (include more game updates, previews, etc)
Improved Music Playback (album covers, revised interface, etc)
Improved Photo Browsing (coverflow-like interface, smoother, etc)
Improved Video Playback Interface
Expanded Friend Lists (more then 100, please)
Game List Management (the ability to delete played games from your list)
Increase Text Message Length
Picture Messaging (take a picture with the camera/use one from computer and send it to a friend)
Email Access (if there's no web browser - we already have MSN, why not email, too?)
Customizable Themes (a picture for every blade)
IPTV

I just want the customizable themes, otherwise I'm pretty happy with the system as is. Give me a way to put my own picture for each blade, and I'll be set.

It's like an RSS reader for Xbox Live related stuff. I'm not sure if the content is stripped for you, but you'll find announcements of demos and arcade games and such.

The reputation system in its present form is a worthless fail. The player reviews should actually influence one's reputation, and the players with low rep should be somehow punished (e.g., there should be an "Auto mute players with reputation lower than 2 stars" option in XBL settings).
Internet browser would be helpful, even though I do most of my gaming in a 2-metre distance from my computer.
Clan support could be great, if some games actually implemented it.
I don't really see a point in reading Inside Xbox right now - there's virtually nothing worth your time there. They definitely should do something about it.
Friends lists be more capacious; I don't personally need that, but this would be very helpful for people like Lono or Doc with lots of "friends".
There was a website that allowed you to preview dashboard themes (dashboardthemes.com (http://dashboardthemes.com/)) but it seems it no longer exists.

The thing I'd like to see the most, though, is dashboard themes actually changing something in the dashboard layout, not just the colours of the blades. For example, I'd love to be able to use a XMB-like dashboard theme. I'm looking forward to the eventual implementation of this, I don't believe it would be that hard for the 360 team.

I think all major nelson is trying to do is 1 up Trixie and Trixie is trying to 1 up major nelson. I can just see the conversation "well i got paris Hilton to say something she knows nothing about" :D And i dint know what major nelson looked like before i saw him in the majors Minuit's...it sort of kills his podcasts when you know hes just this lame old guy. It would be nice tho if the posted something i remotely cared about.

Couple of things i'd like to see. Previews of themes before you buy, which has been mentioned already. An option in the Marketplace which lists free stuff, be it demos, DLC or themes etc.

The one thing that gets on my nerves which i would like to see fixed is a bit of an oddball one. You look at my gamercard and i have many games with 0 gamerscore on it. Be that because i borrowed the game off of someone and didn't like it, or bought a game didn't like it and traded it in, or worse still, thos OXBM magazine cover discs creating a gamerscore entry. I'd like to see all those games with a 0 gamerscore wiped off of my profile if i haven't played them for a few months. I mean, there's stuff on there with a 0 score that i ain't played in like 15 months and i'm never likely to play it again, get rid of the entry for me please. I may be mistaken but don't XBLA Trials create an entry?

I might be me but Im not sure. Iv gone through the trouble shoot at least 6 times now. The only thing I can think of is my gateway and if thats it then Im doomed to podcastless Halo matches.

Id want pretty much everything that canuck said but the problem is Microsoft will add some weird stupid new feature that no one really wants

If they do add more games to the backwards compatability, I really want to see them add Psy Ops and Prince of Persia:Warrior Within. An internet browser would be nice to see but it would have to be better than the Opera Browser for the Wii.

I would like to see more 16:10 resolutions supported with MS's VGA output cable. I hate having to see a crappily scaled image every time I play my Xbox.

I also want a few things that others want, like multi-way chat and clan support, but getting my monitor's native resolution is more important to me, personally.

I guess they decided that so many people were racking up achievements that they'd not make any money if they did that.

The thing I would like the most is for them to implement the Divx support they added into the MCE interface. Its not a big deal to drop out to the dash to watch those videos but it would be nice to have it all in one interface.

It would be nice if more of the menus could be flattened so that options aren't 5 - 6 presses down.

Fixing the reputation system would be awesome.

More options to give a detailed description of a players behaviour when you are filing a complaint would be great too.

I really, really wish they'd properly bring back those Old Spice Gamerscore contests. A great way to get me playing (and buying games) on my Xbox. I actually would get a reward out of playing a videogame. That's what I call a good contest.

As for that gamerscore thing, Knucles would get free crap from every hole in MS's emps bodies

I like the multi-person chat idea. As well as the deleting of worthless games on your played games list.

However fixing the rep system would be nice, just every Lono fan is basically out to get me so IDK about one. ;)

I agree. i want to be able to talk to more than one of my friends at a time. I guess microsoft has been assuming this entire time that we only have one friend?

Sure its Just fine. BUT it could be much much better. It would be real amazing for full clan support i.e. clan leaders (such as lono and doc) would have full control of who was in the clan and able to award ranks and privileges to clan members. They can set up clan games(sg gamer nights) with automatic invites sent out to all selected participants. Recorded clan stats. Clan wars (two clans go against each other in fully automated matchmaking and map selection). If everyone said that its fine so why add anything new you would be stuck with the PSN. :)

I think your right as well there is things that should take priority over the clan features. I would like to have hotmail, That seams it would be allot easier to implement and it would be a nice addition. But i think sometime in the future clan support should be added.

u can use ur own pictures as ur themes. u need a memory usb stick. copy ur pics to it and put it in usb port of 360

when the price of something drops, some can think of it as a rip-off, but at least its affordable for everyone else who will buy it..
