BTW the true definition of a Martini is A cocktail made of gin or vodka and dry vermouth. Anything else is just a cocktail. Sorry, I used to design menus and it always bugs how many types of Cocktails get the "Tini" added on.

LMAO... Alright, Alright. *slaps self on forehead* *Quickly edits his post with the screenshot in it and prays to god no one looked at the answers*... they were in there by mistake. Funny podcast guys and before you start flaming me, let me say I love listening to your podcast. Its hilarious and I'm glad I started listening to it. But I have a complaint that has been bothering me for a while now.

Could you guys stop bashing Halo 3? Yes I'm a Halo fanboy, I'll admit, but I enjoy COD4 too. I'm tired of hearing how COD4 is better than Halo 3 though. Yeah I agree that Halo 3 shouldn't have won Game of the Year Award for 1UP but I think Halo should have at least won the Best Multiplayer Award over COD4. We can argue over which game had better gameplay but Halo had more customization (a lot more), 4 person co-op, forge, films, ability to share maps/gametypes/films with friends, and check out your online stats of every game you played on Bungie.net. COD4 is really fun too (I own the game) but Halo 3 simply has more depth.

first of all who the hell checked their stats after every game and secondly when i want to play some multi-player halo doesnt even cross my mind whereas cod4 is already in the xbox when i turn it on. sure halo had forge and theatre but it lacks the atmosphere that call of duty has, in halo you dont need to think about tactics or what you are going to do you just run in pelting bullets at people and in call of duty you skulk around and 'check your corners' which to me is alot more fun.

im not bashing halo for what it is its just that call of duty is better.

I don't agree with 1UP's awards for the most part but could you at least see that Halo 3 equally deserves winning best multiplayer (IMO Bioshock should have won Best Shooter, and either Bioshock or Masseffect should have won Game of the Year). I know you don't like Halo 3, I just wish I didn't have to hear about how much better COD4 is every so often.

I'm not being a fanboy, I'm just tired of hearing how much better COD4 is. That's all. Other than that great podcast. :)

COD4 does have alot more tactical thinking...

you can't run around with a rocket launcher and kill everybody or take a whole clip and a nade before you die, which means you have to think more and makes it better IMO.

Great podcast as usual....loved the ending, and even though i can listen to still alive when i want, it was made all the more special on the podcast.

This episode was a landmark for me. This was the episode that I played with audiosurf. I love the episodes by themselves, but playing them with audiosurf was a whole new kind of awesome.... (I got a high score!)

Yea, I did that too once with an episode, but the track was pretty f***ed up with annoying accelarations and too much bumps.

Really? I didn't even notice. Usually things like that irriate me - on national radio where the host is getting paid for it. It's a free podcast, hosted by some awesome guys, who do it all for your (our) entertainment. It's also one of the best sounding podcasts on the web, and it's only at episode 29. The Weekly Upload is at number 53 and their last podcast was unlistenable.

Yep. What Animathias said is on the money except don't really know about 'The Weekly Upload' but there are plenty of other podcasts out there where the audio quality is so poor that it makes it uncomfortable to listen to. Even if Doc was umming and ahhing his way through (though I didn't notice) it still means SG is waaay beyond the audio quality of your average podcast.

I'm not trying to change anyone's opinion here. Some people like COD and others like Halo. However, the way you guys go about being COD fanboys is what annoys me. I like listening to the podcast but hearing you guys calling Halo "craptacular forge (COD has no map editor at all). . . broke no grounds (COD broke grounds. . . shouldn't have made best on any of these list (1UP awards). . ." I can understand if you don't like the gameplay over COD's gameplay but you can't deny that Halo isn't a great game or that it is inferior to COD. I, myself a Halo fanboy (yes, I'll admit it), had a blast playing COD, and it defiantly deserves to earn at least one of 1UP awards because it was a great game.

What I'm trying to say is that Halo is on par with COD and equally deserves those awards (except Game of the Year, which COD shouldn't win either) just as much as COD does. Would you guys just stop making Halo out like an inferior, second-rate game compared to god-like COD. That's all I'm asking.

On another note entirely, are you guys going to do more special episode devoted to a single game like your Mass Effect episode? It was really funny, and it would be cool if you guys did some more like that for big upcoming games.

i have been to a few lan parties at me mates house in the past few months, and CoD4 is a big part of that, i didnt like the multiplayer on the consoles, but on pc twas mint, still doesnt beat UT3 (thats only because im actually good at UT3 and suck at CoD4 :P)

And yet i play halo 3 online and im liek...eh, soooo...what makes this good...at all? If i want generic online shooter, ill go play the tons of better games like CS. It's mediocre at best, im not saying this as a sony lover, as there are loads of 360 games i love, i understand what lono and doc say about it, CoD4 is on a totally different level than halo it really is.

I was talking to the community in general about the CoD4 is god thing, and do you hear what you are saying, if I recall in one of my earlier posts I said Halo3 had just as good of a chance at getting best mulitplayer not that it should have wiped the floor with CoD4, CoD4 is really fun, I just like Halo better, they bother had a good shot at it, but in the end Halo won, I am not saying the awards were good, Halo shouldn't have gotten all of those awards, just the multiplayer and as I said CoD4 should have had just as good of a shot at it as Halo. Demon sparda and fanatic, I guess you guys didn't hear it when I said during the podcast that I thought Halo was a good game, but not a great game. You reveal your fanboyism when you take that to mean that we said Halo SUCKS. I said it was a good game. I know you think its a good game and I never said you think Halo sucks. I just wish you stopped making it out to be so inferior to COD in every other episode. That's it. I have to agree. Halo may not have exactly broken new ground, but CoD4 didn't either. There's only so much that can be added to a FPS, and frankly, it was added by Bioshock.

Now, it was nowhere near as customizable as PC map makers, but you could do everything forge could do and more - on the original Xbox. Also, you could search for games using said maps and play them - you didn't need to find someone on your friend's list using them. So Forge is broken, unless you've got 15 people on your list playing Halo 3 at all times, and all willing to join your game, so you can use the map you just spent 2 hour editing. Because Bungie flat-out refused to give us a custom game search.

I have to disagree...sort of. While Foundry does not fully allow creating a map from scratch, I have created a cool map where you walk in these tunnels by using open crates. So in a way, I did set all of the hallways and doors.

Okay, I listened to the episode a while back but forgot to comment... RE: the article I wrote over gamerscore, in your discussion guys you took it as me also dogging on Achievements... I didn't. The complaint was solely about "gamerscore" being something I don't like. I like Achievements, it's the "arbitrary value" associated to the achievements that people somehow turn into a d*ck measuring contest by comparing their 2 hours of TMNT to someone else's 80 hours of Gears of War. Or their 20 minutes of Avatar to someone else's 40 hours of Halo 3. Gamerscore is fundamentally broken and IMO serves mostly to addictive personalities... it helps turn games into consumables, promotes the "meta-game" of increasing your gamerscore over the actual games we're playing, and all around changes the way people play games. I don't care for it and find it refreshing to play games on systems that don't have that baggage.

RE: Lono saying GoW:CoO and Patapon will be the 2 best PSP games ever... I think you're selling the PSP really short there man... while Patapon's $20 price tag will likely serve it well, I think it'll be a niche hit at best. GoW:CoO will sell very well but if the rumors of 4-5 hours of gameplay are true, it'll be huge in the used market (cannibalizing its total sales in the end). So we're looking at "best PSP games ever" being a subjective term when describing the quality of the games, and the potential of sales not backing up "best PSP games ever" either... are we solely going on Metacritic scores to determine what's the best? If so, we'd have to hand the "best handheld" crown to the PSP over the DS... check out which has the most games scoring 80 or above... hint: it's the PSP (57 games). Why is the DS (47 games) trouncing it in sales then? I can't put a finger on it other than the $40 price difference.

Also note that Patapon has charted and may change, but it's at 88 right now. Of note, the DS only has three games 90 or above and has sold millions and millions of units (the DS, not the games). I'll get GoW:CoO, but it's as subjective as any other game... ask 10 people and you're likely going to get a completely different "Top 2" from all of them. That said, on the whole, 2008 is going to be a great year for the PSP in part due to the continue integration and support from the PS3. I'd argue any PS3 owner owes it to themselves to own a PSP as well and I say that for very real reasons, not just support of the brand... I'd never suggest spending $169 to support the brand.

RE: PS Home... generically speaking (NDA and all), I still think you guys are sensationalistically not being objective with your Home banter. It's not "walk 3 1/2 minutes to your apartment", etc. While it will be easy fodder for people taking potshots, it's also going to be a lot cooler (even if only in the corporate areas at first) than a lot of folks are going to be comfortable admitting. Have you guys seen the latest posts on Kotaku about the Home areas in the works for Resistance (http://kotaku.com/361560/how-resistance-fall-of-man-makes-home-really-really-cool), Uncharted (http://kotaku.com/361563/how-uncharted-drakes-fortune-makes-home-really-really-cool) and Warhawk (http://kotaku.com/361562/how-warhawk-makes-home-really-really-cool)?
